Julep is a monthly nail polish (and beauty) subscription service. They offer a “My Maven” box for $24.99/month which contains $40+ worth of product and polish each month. You are able to fully customize your box so you are guaranteed to receive only products you think you’ll love!
Julep ships via FedEx Smart Post out of Ohio and tends to take just a few days to arrive to me. You make your selections for the box between the 20th and 25th of the month and you can expect to receive your box in the first few days of the next month.
I never can remember what all I select for my monthly Julep box so opening it is typically a surprise.
The August 2016 Julep theme was “Endless Summer”. I opted for the following items in my box this month:
~Adeline (It Girl) ($11.20 / $14): Adeline is an azalea blossom multidimensional shimmer. It looks kind of plain in the container and even in my swatch. But when the light hits it, wow! It turns into such a pretty shimmery pink!
~Alysha (Wonder Maven) ($11.20 / $14): Alysha is a vivid pansy holographic. It’s insanely beautiful. Every time I look at it I see different colors in it. I think it’s going to be so gorgeous for fall.
~It’s Balm – Ripe Raspberry Shimmer ($16 / $20): This is a full-coverage lip crayon with a moisturizing treatment core in the middle. I was surprised by just how bold this color was. I didn’t expect it to have so much pigment in it. It’s ultra creamy and stayed on for quite a while.
~Swatches:
~Add-Ons: For my add-ons (they are an additional cost and are NOT part of the $24.99/box price) this month I selected: Lillian (It Girl), Brittany (Classic With a Twist) and Your Lip Addiction – Clear. Lots soft, pale colors! My bonus item for purchasing three add-ons was Spencer (It Girl).
All totaled I came up with a value of $38.40 for my August 2016 Julep Maven box. I am happy with my selections and can’t wait to get these colors on my nails.
