Love With Food sends members a curated box filled unique gourmet food items. The “Tasting Box” is $9.99/month and offers with 8+ snacks, and the “Deluxe” box is $19.95/month and includes 16-20 snacks. Love With Food also offers a Gluten-Free box for $24.99/month which includes 8-12 surprise gluten-free snacks each month. Each box brings new delights, with bites that vary based on seasonal themes. Also, Love With Food donates a meal (some months they donate two meals) to a child in need with each box purchased, which you can read more about here. This review is on the August Tasting Box.
Love With Food ships via USPS. Boxes typically ship on the 10th of the month and arrive a week or so after.
I am always surprised by how much they can fit into these tiny boxes.
For the first time ever (I believe), the Love With Food card didn’t have product details listed. Subscribers can now go to the LWF website to learn more about the products in that month’s box. I love having the information printed right on the card that comes in the box for two reasons. 1) It’s easier to learn about the included products and 2) It makes it easier to determine if you are missing an item. I am sure I will get used to the changes, but I will miss the old cards!
The August 2016 Love With Food theme was “Love Is Family” and included the following items:
~Quinoa Chocolate Chip Cookies Goodie Girl: Goodie Girl is probably my favorite “healthy” cookie brand. They are gluten-free and contain quinoa, which I never can taste. I just taste good crunchy cookies.
~Carnival Kettle Popcorners Our Little Rebellion: These don’t taste quite like kettle corn, but I love them. They are a cross between kettle corn and pop chips. Very tasty.
~Seaweed Snacks Ocean’s Halo: Nope! I know some people love seaweed, but I just can’t get into it. I don’t like the texture, the taste, the smell… But if you do like seaweed snacks, you will probably like this. It’s USDA Certified Organic, gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan.
~Vanilla Powdered Peanut Butter Peanut Butter & Co.: Powdered peanut butter is genius for baking. It all makes a great addition to smoothies. Much easier to deal with than trying to mix up a scoop of regular peanut butter. If you don’t love it alone (and I don’t) try adding it to something.
~Crispy Rice Bar EnviroKidz: It’s nearly back to school time and I am going to save this for L’s lunch! It’ gluten-free, GMO-free and doesn’t contain peanuts (so it’s perfect for school).
~Fruit & Cream Smoothie Pops Fru-licious: We have gotten these in the past (maybe even in LWF)? Put them in the freezer and you have a delicious portable snack. They are vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, nut-free and GMO-free.
~Zesty Snack Mix Sheffa: When I first tasted these all I could think of was that they would be an amazing road trip snack. And they totally would be. They are a combination of crispy chickpea noodles, roasted corn and toasted sunflower seeds and pack a ton of flavor.
~Toasted Coconut Toffee Chimes: These are amazing! They are have a the creamy, caramel taste of toffee with just a splash of fresh coconut milk and a little sea salt. I really like hard candies, so these were a win.
~Iced Tea Crystals Pique Tea: You just open these crystals (and they really do look like crystals) and stir them into your water. I have tried them iced (they actually have a subscription box too) and was impressed. I generally don’t enjoy tea, but I thought this was good.
~Coupons: The box also included two coupons for products which were featured in the box.
Nice mixture of products in the August 2016 Love With Food box. They always do a great job with variety and I love their boxes for fresh and new lunch items for my kids.
