Something Snacks August 2016 Subscription Box Review

Something Snacks is a monthly snack subscription box. Each month you receive seven different awesome snacks including some familiar snacks and some with a bit of adventure.

Something Snacks ships via USPS. Boxes are shipped between the 7th and 11th of each month and it should take about 7-10 days to arrive to your home or office.

The August 2016 Something Snacks featured the following island inspired and tropical themed snacks:

~Dirty Kettle Potato Chips Maui Onion: These chips are crunchy, but not hard.  They are very flavorful and quite delicious.

~Hawaiian Luau BBQ Sweet & Spicy Chips: These are a little too spicy for new personally, but B would be a fan.  I thought they were crunchier than the previous chips, but nothing that’s going to break your teeth.

~Rollo De Coco Candy Roll Coconut: I am not even sure how to describe this. It’s different.  It’s soft and chewy with a coconut flavor.  I don’t think this one is for me.

~Mic’s Durian Cracker: This is another one I am not sure how to describe. It’s a pastry (?) make with coconut powder and durian powder.  Durian is an oval spiny tropical fruit containing a creamy pulp.  The more I read about Durian, the more curious I am about it. I guess it STINKS and you either love it, or you hate it.  I didn’t feel either way about this one (although I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to find it again), but now I am very interested in the Durian.  Has anyone tried??

~Mrs. Fields White Chunk Macadamia Cookie: Now this one I know ;).  My kids loved it!  I mean, of course, they did, it’s a Mrs. Fields cookie!

~Caveman Cookies Tropical Coconut & Macadamia: Caveman Cookies are made with ingredients that cavemen might have enjoyed, like coconuts & macadamia nuts.  They are paleo friendly, all-natural and contain no dairy.  All that aside, they are also great!

~Calbee Baked Shrimp Chips Original: Shrimp chips don’t have the best smell (well because they smell like shrimp in a bag), but they are good. They taste like salty shrimp, but in a good way!
