BeautyFIX September 2016 Subscription Box Review
BeautyFIX by DermStore is a monthly subscription box that features over $100 worth of beauty products, hand-selected by an elite team of beauty pros.

BeautyFIX ships via USPS at the beginning of each month.

BeautyFIX reveals the contents of their boxes in advance, but I try not to look too closely so I can be surprised a little.

The September 2016 BeautyFIX included the following items:

~Nia 24 Treatment Catalyst (Full-Size) ($71): This serum is designed to improve skin moisture levels and boost radiance.  It absorbed quickly and didn’t leave my skin feeling slick like some serums (this one almost has an oil texture to it) do.  You can use this alone or mix with your regular serum or oil.

~LIFTLAB Skin Rejuvenation PURIFY + CLARIFY Daily Cleanser, Detox Mask and Gentle Exfoliant (30mL) ($15.60): This is a cleanser, face-mask, and exfoliant all in one.  It’s sulfate and paraben-free and suitable for all skin types.  So far I have found it gentle enough for everyday use and didn’t think it was drying at all.

~Danielle Creations Rose Gold Curved Tweezers ($7.99): I haven’t used these yet, but I love the rose gold color.  Beautiful!  And who doesn’t love a fresh pair of tweezers?  Makes all the difference.

~DS Laboratories Spectral.LASH – Eyelash Stimulator ($39.99): This is the item I am most excited about / intrigued by.  It’s a serum that is designed to give you fuller, longer and thicker-looking lashes in just four weeks.  Who is not up for that? I found the applicator to be a bit hard to use (it’s a small little puff on the end of the wand), but once it was on it felt like nothing.  My lashes were a bit wet at first, but they dried quickly, and you can easily put mascara on after (this is to be used in the morning and before bed).

~patchology FlashPatch Lip Gels (1 Patch) ($2): This is a sheet mask for your lips.  It works to moisturize and soften your lips quickly.  I am going to save this for winter when I need it most.

~Erno Laszlo Phelityl Cleansing Bar ($5): This is a tiny little bar! I think my husband will end up using this one because I am not a huge fan of bar soaps. It’s designed to keep in moisture and is designed for even the most sensitive skin types.

~Jane Iredale Smooth Affair Facial Primer and Brightener (7mL) ($6.72): This primer is used before your foundation (or BB cream) to give your skin a smoother appearance.  It works amazing!

~Glytone Enhance Brightening Complex (3mL) ($7): This is a brightening face treatment that visibly restores radiance and evens skin tone (it also reduces the appearance of dark spots). It’s too soon to tell if this works, but it’s worth a try.

All totaled I came up with a value of $155.30 for the  September 2016 BeautyFIX. That is an outstanding value for a $25 box and BeautyFIX does an amazing job at introducing me to new products and brands that I am not familiar with and also does a great job of selecting items that haven’t been in a bunch of other boxes already.

Did you get the September 2016 BeautyFIX?  What’d you think?  This box is still available as a one-time purchase for $34.95 or a monthly subscription for $24.95/month.
