Beauty Box 5 October 2016 Subscription Box Review

Beauty Box 5 delivers a sample box of all things beauty. Each box contains 4 – 5 samples of a variety of makeup, skin care, fragrances and everything in between!  Boxes are $12/month if you do a month-to-month subscription. However, the price drops if you subscribe for an extended period.

Beauty Box 5 ships via DHL and I typically receive my box between the 10th and 15th of the month.

The October 2016 Beauty Box 5 theme is “Girl Boss” and included the following items:

~Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter Pencil ($18): This pencil does it all.  It can be used to perfect brows, to brighten the inner corners of your eyes, etc.  It also works in a pinch to hide blemishes and to fix undereye circles.  A great tool to have in your makeup bag.

~Color Me Red (~$2): Color Me Red has top notes of bergamot, peony, freesia and spicy notes; middle notes of red berries, violet, jasmine, carnation and oakmoss and base notes if orris root, sandalwood, vetiver, and vanilla.  It’s a little much for me for everyday wear, but might be fun for a holiday party.

~Emery & Ivory Custom Nail Appliques ($12.99): A variety of designs were sent out, but I received the “Stepping Stones” pattern.  It’s a marble design with two different accent mail patterns to choose from.  I love nail wrap, but I do hate to apply them.  These will match my desk though ;).

~RealHer Moisturizing Lipstick (I Define Beauty Myself  /  Mauve) ($15): This lipstick felt creamy and rich.  My sister-in-law gets all my lipsticks, and I think she’ll love this mauve shade. It’s free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates and synthetic fragrances as well.

~Amlactin ULTRA Hydrating Body Cream (1oz) ($2.86): This is a very rich and hydrating body cream.  It worked great for my rough elbows and dry hands.  It absorbed quickly and didn’t leave my hands feeling greasy!

~Swatches

All totaled I came up with a value of $50.85 for the October 2016 Beauty Box 5.  I was quite pleased with this box and thought the value was great!
