BOXYCHARM October 2016 Subscription Box Review - "BOXY Bazaar"

BOXYCHARM is a beauty box subscription that surprises you each month with the best beauty products from popular and chic brands. It’s $21/month and includes full size and luxury size beauty samples from their team’s preferred well-known brands.

BOXYCHARM ships via FedEx Smart Post (starts out with FedEx and is delivered by USPS) mid-month.

The October 2016 BOXYCHARM theme was “BOXY Bazaar” and included the following items:

~Luxie Eye Blender Brush Pack ($36): These brushes are cruelty-free and are soft and gentle enough for every skin-type.  The set includes the following eyeshadow brushes: #205 – can be used to blend your shadow for a more defined edge. #229 – blend eyeshadow colors along your crease to create deep set eyes. #237 – to help blend your shadows along crease and outer v for a smokey eye look.

~TEMPTU S/B Bronze Shimmer Bronzer ($29.50): This can be used in a few different ways. It can be layered for a deep looking tan; you can use it on your lids as a primer for a smokey eye or (my favorite) you can mix a drop or two with your favorite moisturizer (body or face) for a slightly bronzed look.

~Briogeo Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Creme ($24): Briogeo is a regular in subscription boxes, but I don’t know that I have ever gotten the heat protectant creme?  I try to avoid blow drying my hair as much as I possibly can, but with winter coming, I know I will have to do it more.  Hopefully, this helps to fight off damage.  It’s free from Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates and is also vegan, gluten-free, and not tested on animals.

~Starlooks Ultra Matte Lip Paint ($11): I don’t love this, but I know my sister-in-law will.  It goes on like a gloss, but looks like lipstick. The information card says this is a “long-wear” lip paint, but listen that’s an understatement.  It was a battle to get this off my arm where I swatched it!

~Three’s Company Eye Shadow Trio by IBY Beauty ($19): We just got a fabulous neutral palette in BOXYCHARM last month so I may end up passing this trio (which is fabulous as well) on to a friend.  The information card gives a little tutorial on how to use these with the included brushes which I thought was a great idea.

~Spoilers:

All totaled I came up with a value of $119.50 for the October 2016 BOXYCHARM.  BOXYCHARM is such a great value, and I can’t say I am ever disappointed with my box.
