The packaging on this box was gorgeous!
The Fall 2016 CAUSEBOX theme was all about good living and included the following items:
~Liz Alig Apron ($45): This apron was made from button down shirts gathered from markets in Haiti. Unwanted clothing from Goodwill (in the US) is shipped to Haiti to be sold at their markets. A local women’s cooperative then turns the shirts into these gorgeous aprons. How cool is that? It brings life to unwanted clothing and provides a much needed source of income for families that have little opportunities. I have a friend who has done some volunteer work in Haiti and I am going to send her this apron (and the story that goes with it) as I know she’ll love it.
~Hobbs Tea ($24): This pack contains five different types of tea: Rooibos, Sencha green, Silver tip white, Yerba mate and Mint oolong. It’s free of GMOs, gluten, pesticides, preservatives, bleach, nylon, plastic & metal and is certified organic.
~Urbana Sacs Storage Container ($22): This contain can be used to store fruit or vegetables, as a planter or even office supplies. I currently have nail polish in mine. It’s made from washable paper that is a sustainable lightweight material made with a variety of virgin pulp fiber blends and recycled polyester felts. It can be washed over and over again, so you don’t have to worry about getting it dirty.
~Dogeared “Balance” Necklace ($54): Balance. This is something I have been working on a lot more lately. Just balancing my time better and making sure I carve out some time for the treadmill, to make healthy meals, etc. This handcrafted necklace will serve as a great reminder of that.
~Lucky Iron Fish Cooking Accessory ($25): The Lucky Iron Fish “is a carefully formulated health innovation that has been shown to substantially reduce instances of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia”. You add it to a pot of water (or broth), add 2-3 drops of citrus juice (or apple cider vinegar) and then boil for 10 minutes. After you remove the fish you can add your normal ingredients for an iron-rich meal. For every Lucky Iron Fish purchased they donate one to a community in need. Neat!
~Gramr Gratitude Co. 6-Pack Thank You Cards ($16): These cards are gorgeous. Sadly Gramr (and their gorgeous) cards are going out of business ;(. Their goal was to create a more grateful world and these Thank You cards are a great way to do that.
~Jenessa Wait Seasonal Print ($10): I love this print! I am putting it up in my office this instant! It’s absolutely perfect.
~Good Deals: The box also included discounts / additional information on some of the products in the box.
All totaled the Fall 2016 CAUSEBOX had a value of $196. In addition to being a great value, I thought everything in here was useful and I feel like I learned a lot from this box a well.
