GlobeIn Limited Edition "Entertain" Box Review

The GlobeIn Artisan Box is a monthly subscription box featuring GlobeIn‘s favorite products from global artisans. Each box is curated around a monthly theme selected by their editor with the aim of helping you experience new and interesting products and cultures.

This review is on their Limited Edition GlobeIn “Entertain” Box. The box is $50 as a one-time purchase for non-subscribers or $35 for subscribers.

The Limited Edition GlobeIn “Entertain” Box shipped via USPS from California.

The contents of the GlobeIn “Entertain” Box were revealed in advance and consist mainly of items from previous GlobeIn boxes.

The GlobeIn “Entertain” Box included the following items:

~Turkish Kitchen Towel, Turkey ($12):  This towel was made by Hatice, a woman who has mastered the craft of using a hand-loom.  From this, she can support her family by making a living wage.  I can always use more gorgeous kitchen towels!

~Neem Wood Salad Grabbers, India ($15): These salad grabbers are handcrafted in India.  These salad grabbers were in the October 2016 GlobeIn box.  They are beautiful and are handcrafted by the artisans who work for The Village Experience, a cooperative in India.

~Neem Wood Spice Bowl, India ($15): This bowl was made by artisans in The Village Experience and also appeared in the July GlobeIn box. It’s designed to hold your favorite spices, but you could also use it to hold your jewelry or other trinkets.

~Ilocano Asin Sea Salt, Phillippines ($12): This sea salt was harvested from the pure seawaters off the island of Luzon by traditional salt farmers.  It also appeared in the July 2016 box.  B (my husband) has used it on multiple occasions, and it’s flavorful and delicious.

~Good Friends, Good Food, Good Times Card: The box included a card which can be used as an invitation to your gathering OR as a thank you for coming.

~Palm Leaf Bottle Basket ($12): This basket was handmade in Mexico using palm leaves gathered from the hills in Oaxaca.  This would be amazing to use on your table with a bottle or wine or to gift someone a bottle of wine in.

All totaled the GlobeIn “Entertain” Box had a value of $66.  That’s a nice value for a $50 box and an even better value for a $35 (subscriber cost) box.  I do wish that the box would have contained more new items, but overall I liked it.
