Mission Cute October 2016 Subscription Box Review

MissionCute is a monthly subscription box full of cute stuff, but with a mission. Each MissionCute box comes with at least two items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses.  Every month they also partner with a different nonprofit to help promote their mission.  50% of the net proceeds of each box are donated to the chosen (you can vote on it) monthly nonprofit and MissionCute also sponsors and works on a service project each month in their community.

MissionCute ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive to me.  Boxes ship on the 15th of the month. If you subscribe before the 10th of the month, you will receive that month’s box.  If you subscribe after the 10th of the month, your subscription will start the following month.

The October 2016 MissionCute included the following items:

~MissionCute Full Hands Mug ($18 per information card): I can’t resist a coffee mug / tumbler. This insulated tumbler would work for hot OR cold drinks and would be great for tailgating!

~Just Neem Pumpkin Spice Soap ($5.50): I think pumpkin spice is a hard scent to get right in bath and body products, but they nailed it.  This soap is made with real pumpkin and has notes of Cinnamon, Cardamom & Nutmeg.  I just purchased the Trader Joes Pumpkin Body Butter (which is amazing by the way), and these two will be great together!

~Moe + Co. Silver Braid Ring ($19 per information card): Cute ring!  It’s a big ring, but it’s not crazy big, and you could still totally wear it every day.

~Gold & Pumpkin Necklace ($12 per information card): The information describes this as a “pumpkin” necklace, but it’s more of a coral color.  I guess some pumpkins are almost coral colored, though? Anyway, this necklace is a fun splash of color and an easy addition to most any outfit.

~MannaKadar Cosmetics Radiance / Bronze Highlighter ($21): This duo has been in a few subscription boxes and is very versatile.  It can be used as a bronzer, highlighter, or eyeshadow.

~Dream Big 5×7 Print ($9 per information card): Mission Cute typically includes a print of some sort in their boxes.  I have a frame that I use just for them.  This one is gorgeous!

~Haribo Gold Bears: These aren’t on the information card, but B (my husband) appreciated the snack ;).

All totaled I came up with a value of $84.50 for the October 2016 MissionCute.  There were a few MissionCute branded products, and I couldn’t find the values for a few others, so I relied on the information card pricing for much of the box.  As usual though, they put together a cute box with a variety if fun goodies.

What do you think of MissionCute? If you are interested in subscribing or just want to check out more about them / look at previous boxes, click here.  They also offer a Mini MissionCute box for $20/month which consists of 2-3 hand-curated items.  This may be a good option if you aren’t ready to try the full box.
