POPSUGAR Must Have Box October 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon Code

My October 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Box is here! Note: POPSUGAR sent me this box to review, but my POPSUGAR Must Have Box box (which I pay for) is on its way to me as well.

If you aren’t familiar, POPSUGAR Must Have Box is an exciting box full of fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more, which is delivered to your door on a monthly basis. Boxes include full-size products and premium items including tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands consumers have yet to discover worth over $100!

POPSUGAR Must Have Box ships via FedEx Smart Post and takes about a week to arrive. They seem to ship in batches (no idea if there is any rhyme or reason to the order they use) so some people get their boxes delivered before other people have gotten shipping notices.

After all these years (and all these boxes), POPSUGAR Must Have Box is still my favorite. It may not be my favorite every month, but overall, it’s my favorite subscription box.

The October 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Box was inspired by “reinvention * warm * cozy * snuggly * inspiration * happy” and included the following items:

~Henri Bendel Packable Umbrella ($58): POPSUGAR released this as a spoiler for this month, and I was very excited to get it.  We have umbrellas (POPSUGAR even included one in their April 2015 box), but I never seem to have them where / when I need them. The umbrella is brown and white (Henri Bendel’s signature colors) and has pink edges and a pink Henri Bendel logo.  I don’t want to have to use this, but I know it will come in handy ;).

~Lalicious Brown Sugar Vanilla Shower Oil and Bubble Bath ($28): This can be used as a shower oil or a bubble bath.  It smells amazing (like a cookie) and feels like such a treat.  I wouldn’t purchase a $28 shower gel on my own, but I love when fancy ones like this are included in subscription boxes.

~My Cup of Cocoa Dark Drinking Chocolate ($5.99):  This powder can be added to milk (any type) for an amazing treat.  It’s all-natural, made with real chocolate and has no artificial flavoring.

~Morning Culture Rise & Shine Diner Mug ($16):  I love mugs!  Getting a mug in a subscription box is always a good thing.  I have a big mug rack from Decor Steals (I love that site), and this will be a great addition.  It will also be pretty nice for drinking that hot chocolate when winter hits.  It comes in a box, so it’s great for gifting as well.

~Makeup Eraser The Makeup Eraser Mini ($12): The Makeup Eraser just needs to be wetted, and it removes all makeup – even waterproof eye mascara. I got one in my June Pampered Mommy Box, and it really works.  It’s good for 1,000 washes and is machine washable.

~Special ExtraPower Your Happy Work Hard, Play Nice & Build Your Dream Life by Lisa Sugar ($21.08): Power Your Happy is Lisa Sugar’s (POPSUGAR founder) memoir. It contains career and personal advice, encouraging stories, etc.  I haven’t gotten a chance to get too far into this, but once I get a chunk of time to sit down with it, I think it will be a quick read.

~Special ExtraRevlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen ($8.99): The box also included a Revlon Liquid Eye Pen.  It lasts up to 16 hours, and you’ll probably need the makeup eraser to get it off ;).  I’m not a big eyeliner wearer, so I will pass this on to a friend.

~Coupons: The box included 20% coupon codes for Henri Bendel and Lalicious, as well as, some additional information on the Revlon Longwear Liners.

All totaled the October 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Box had a value of $150.06.  I wouldn’t say there was a hero item in this box, but I will use most everything in here, so I’m happy.  There were seven items in here which works out to $5.71/item ($39.95 cost of the box / seven items).  With the exception of the eyeliner that I wouldn’t have bought on my own, I would have paid more than $6 for each of these items, so it’s a win.

What do you think of the October 2016 POPSUGAR Must Have Box?  If you are interested in ordering (this box is still available), you can use coupon code “MUSTHAVE5” to save $5 off your first box.
