1. Do you “boo” your neighbors? We do around here and I think it’s so fun! If you aren’t familiar you put together a basket of Halloween treats and then leave them on your neighbors porch without them knowing.  They put a sign up on their door letting everyone know they were boo’ed (so no one boo’s them again) and then have to boo someone else.  The kids and I are going to get started on our baskets this week and then we’ll pick the neighbors we want to boo.  I usually start with two neighbors and then they each have to boo one or two people. It moves things along a little more quickly and if one person drops off it still goes on.  What we put in the basket depends on who we boo, but it’s usually a Halloween dessert mix, a cute sign, maybe a bottle of wine, a kids book, some candy and whatever goodies I have on hand from my 90% off clearance hauls ;).

2.Do you dress up for Halloween?  If so, what are you being this year?  I don’t, but I think it’s fun to see parents dressed up when they are out trick-or-treating with their kids.  I’m not sure I could get L (he’s 8) to agree to wear a “family costume” unless we were all ninjas or something ;), but I do think they are cute too.

Can’t wait to hear your answers!

    1. We don’t “boo” our neighbors. Maybe we should now that there are younger families in the neighborhood.

    2. I dress up when my younger son requests it. One time we went as a princess and a knight. This year My eight year old is going to be Link. I will be Princess Zelda.

You should! It will be fun!

    1. Boo- do they do that in California? IDK but I have seen some Flamingos around town.
    2. Yes I dress up! I never know until a couple days before Halloween what I’m going to dress up as. That’s when I start ripping drapes off windows, get wire & cutters out of the garage, see what spray paint is there from last year and then craft some wacky costume that usually ends up poking someone on the dance floor. Previous costumes include: dice, Gumby, Joan Jetson, angel, mermaid (shiny shells), Daisy Duck, toy soldier, Elvira (don’t use duct tape on skin!). I’ve worn store bought ones, but it’s just not as fun.

I think they do? My friend in Nor. Cal got boo’ed last night!

You have to send me a picture of what you come up with this year! Your costumes sound amazing!

    1. They do Boo here in California as I have many friends who participate in the Bay Area. We haven’t participated in the past though we did get Boo’d once. Not sure with the new house how are neighbors are. We understand not many folks do major decorations. So we will see about next year. We are giving out full size candy bars this year though so maybe word will get around for next year (we plan on doing MAJOR decorations next year).

    2. Normally I dress up. I even rented costumes the last couple years to wear at our Godkids parents house to give out candy (since the kids are out of the trick or treat age…waaaaaah). But this will be our first year we are actually home to give out candy. Probably won’t have time to actually dress (I was a wicked old witch the past couple of years….none of these cute sexy things for me, has to be scary!) but will at least wear my witches hat!
