Birchbox Man Review - December 2016 Subscription Box + Coupon Code

Birchbox Man (as pictured here) is $20/month and sends you monthly deliveries of deluxe grooming and lifestyle samples, tailored to your profile. With Birchbox Man you can try cult brands, up-and-coming lines, and everything in between.

Birchbox Man ships via USPS (through Newgistics) and arrives within the first few days of the month or the last few days or the previous month.

How fun is the box this month?

My husband’s December 2016 Birchbox Man included the following items:

~Anthony Invigorating Rush Hair & Body Wash (30mL) ($2.37): This contains Eucalyptus, birch leaf, and Canadian balsam which helps to “stimulate and refresh while also calming inflammation”.  Since it’s a 2-in-1 product (it’s a hair + body wash) it’ll be great for B and all his travels.

~Owen & Fred YOU DIRTY DOG™ Face Wash (Packet): Meh. It’s hard to tell much from a single use packet.  I used it myself and had no opinion on it either way – other than that it was hard to open with scissors.

~DTRT 10 Sec All in One Lotion (15mL) ($3.96): This lotion hydrates, tones and fights early signs of aging.  It smells woodsy and has almost a gel texture to it. It’s thinner than gel though – I’d maybe even go so far as to describe it as watery.  It works though and doesn’t leave any sort of residue, oil, shine, etc.

~R+Co MOTORCYCLE Flexible Gel (15mL) ($2.60): I used this gel on L (my 8 year-old) and it worked great. He has super sort hair, but he does like to spike it up sometimes.  This held his hair well and didn’t leave it all crunchy or sticky.

~V76 by Vaughn Daily Balance Exfoliating Facial Cleanser & V76 by Vaughn Daily Balance Facial Moisturizer (Packets): More packets.  My husband loves the V76 brand and would have been ahappy with these in smaple size, but you just can’t tell enough about a product from one-time use samples like these.

~TRNDLabs COAL Organic Earbuds ($19): These were our lifestyle choice item this month.  Options were: Cory Vines Boxer Briefs ($22), TRNDLabs COAL Organic Earbuds ($19) or Owen & Fred Notebook and Money Clip Duo (in one of two designs).  My Dad is always asking about earbuds coming in subscription boxes so I got these for him.  He was thrilled!  If there was an earbud / headphone of the month subscription service he’d probably be the first to sign up.

All totaled our December 2016 Birchbox Man had a value of $27.36 (plus the value of the packets which I didn’t calculate).  That’s actually a pretty low value for Birchbox Man and I am hoping next month is a better one for them.
