MyIrelandBox October 2016 Subscription Box Review

MyIrelandBox is a subscription box straight from Ireland to your doorstep!  The box includes one large or 2-4 Irish made/designed home goods, accessories, jewellery, stationary or beauty products.

Disclosure: This complimentary box was received for review purposes. All opinions are my own, and no compensation was received.

MyIrelandBox ships from Ireland and, in general, takes about a week to arrive.

They send so many different kinds of items that you just never know what you’ll end up with!

The October 2016 MyIrelandBox was inspired by the wild Atlantic Ocean and the natural beauty that surrounds the Emerald Ise.  The box included the following items:

~Wild by Water Fashion Clutch (Inishmurray Bluebells) ($37.95): This clutch features “bluebells on Inishmurray and Benbulben (Sligo) in the background”.  It’s water-tight and rainproof” so all your items will stay dry as you are out exploring.  It’s also incredibly gorgeous.  Maybe one of the most beautiful pouches I have come across.  It has a “silky-style front and leather-look back” and the wristband is made from sustainable materials.

~The Dingle Druid Handcrafted Felt Soap (~$5): This soap is handmade and blanketed in Irish wool felt.  It all sounds a little odd (at least to me), but it feels amazing.  The sheeps wool acts as an exfoliant and makes the soap last longer.  Plus, according to the information card, the wool is rich in Lanolin which is a natural anti-bacterial and anti-microbial agent.

~Mungo Murphy’s Sea-Bag (~$6): This bag contains dried and ground Laminaria Digitata (basically like a seaweed) from the wild Atlantic waters of Connemara.  According to the website it can be used to “treat skin imperfections, stimulate blood circulation, reduce the appearance of cellulite, detoxify the body, soften stiff muscles, improve thyroid health and may also serve to alleviate the symptoms of psoriasis, eczema, acne and dry skin”. This is a one-time use bag, but you first need to place it in a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes and then pour the contents of the pot (water + bag) in your bath.

~At It Again Card (~$4):This card is inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula.  I am not sure I “get” it, but I am also not a Dracula fan, so that may explain it.
