Something Snacks always packs a ton of goodies in their boxes!

The January 2017 Something Snacks theme was “Fresh Start” and included the following items:

~Goodie Girl Cookies Quinoa Choco-Chip: These cookies are gluten-free, peanut-free and contain no artificial flavors.  I love them.  I’d never know they had Quinoa in them if it wasn’t written on the package.

~Queen’s Diamond Brand Freeze Dried Durian: I have come to the conclusion that I am not a fan of durian.  Not freeze-dried durian anyway.  Although I hear fresh durian is, ahh, even more flavorful.  It’s unlike any fruit I have ever eaten.  I thought it tasted slightly medicinal and I needed to wash the taste out of my mouth with water.  LOL.

~Boulder Canyon Malt Vinegar & Sea Salt Kettle Cooked Potato Chips: I think these would be more of a B (that’s my husband) item than a “me” item.  They have no MSG, no trans-fat and no cholesterol.

~Appleways Strawberry Oatmeal Bar: This oatmeal bar was amazing.  I had it for breakfast and found it to be very filling.  It has 8g of whole grain and is made with all-natural flavors and no preservatives.

~Wel-Pac Organic Seasoned Seaweed Snack: No matter what, I am never going to be a fan of seaweed.  I don’t think it’s the taste I mind as much as the texture?

~YumEarth Gummy Bears: These gummies are gluten-free, naturally-flavored and contain no artificial colors.  What’s better than all that though is that my kids will actually eat them.  You can buy all the “better” snacks out there, but if your kids won’t eat them, it doesn’t matter.

~Truly Good Foods California Mix: L (my 8-year-old) loved this snack mix.  It has raisins, Turkish apricots, dates, almonds, coconut, papaya, pineapple, Brazil nuts, banana chips, pecans, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, cashews, and hazelnuts.  I’d love to find this (or something similar) locally!
