1. I’m going to ask again, how is everyone doing on those resolutions?? I *think* I am doing better about drinking more water, but the treadmill has been a fail. I got on it the other day and my toe hasn’t stopped hurting since. I am not even kidding. I may need to get a stationary bike or sign up for water aerobics. LOL!!!!
2. What do you use for breakouts? When I was a teenager I used to think I’d only have to worry about acne for a few years, but I was wrong. So wrong. If you have the same issue, what do you use to prevent breakouts and what spot treatments do you use to combat them if / when they do happen? I am super curious about the spot treatments out there and am hoping someone has a great recommendation!
Can’t wait to hear your answers!
Have you seen the peloton bike commercials? I can’t justify the cost, but it just seems so cool!!
I use the burt bees acne stick for breakouts. No resolutions except make my own food and more green food. Both fails so far because when you are sick, you want pizza.
Hi Jenn,
My Holy Grail is Mario Badescu drying lotion. Awesome for spot treatments!!!
Thank you!!!
what she said! worst breakouts of my life this summer (at 33 no less…) and I had great results with the drying lotion. I even used it all over as almost a mask at night! Don’t use the Ulta branded foundation stick if you break out – it was the culprit.
I was told hydrocortisone cream will take down the redness and swelling.
Interesting! My arms are a little itchy these days from swatching so much, so I need to get some anyway!
Cheap but amazing fix – ELF Acne Fighting Spot Gel with Aloe. It’s 1% Salicylic Acid with tea tree oil, witch hazel, aloe, and Camellia leaf. I am 55 with crazy sensitive skin that still breaks out randomly. This stuff is the bomb. It doesn’t make my skin peel or cause additional problems other than the original one. I’ve even used it on allergic breakouts and insect bites with success. I buy it in bulk!
I am going to need to try this!!! THANK YOU!
I didn’t plan for any resolutions, but ended up with a ton. I picked up doing weight watchers again since I fell off during a Disneyland trip in November.
My only planned resolution was to go on a self induced buying ban. I know, I know….what was I thinking? I got a new closet system for Christmas and that forced me to take out every thing I own and realize I buy a TON of things I never wear or use. I was getting way too many sub boxes and ended up with so much excess crap. I cancelled all my boxes and haven’t even been to Target since the 1st. I don’t even know who I am anymore, lol. It’s actually not as hard as I thought though, I just paid off a credit card with the money I would have spent and that felt even better.
I also gave up Facebook this week. It’s become a really horrible, toxic place and I feel SO much better since I deleted that app from my phone. Instagram for lifeeee!
That is a genius idea with the closet organizer. I think I’d be scared to see what all is in mine.
Ahhh, Facebook! Instagram and SnapChat are so much friendlier!
I got into K beauty skin care several months ago and my skin has never looked better or felt softer. I’m also spending probably 1/3 than what I used to spend on skincare. I barely have breakouts anymore but when I do I use the cosrx acne patch treatments. They are amazing. I’ve gotten friends to switch their skincare and they have better skin too. I use the products suggested on snowwhiteandtheasianpear.com says for oily and acne prone skin and I add in a couple clay/volcano/bubble masks and a scrub mask and sheet masks.
I received a DDF Acne Control Treatment sample from birchbox last year and use it as a spot treatment- I will never go back to anything else! I spot it on before I go to bed and it’s gone when I wake. I highly recommend to anyone who gets the occasional pimple
I really like the Elf Acne spot treatment, it’s $1 and it works really well!
Apple Cider Vinegar on cotton balls twice a day. Pat on don’t rub in.
Thank you!!!
