Smart Art ships via USPS and ships on or around the 1st of the month. If you sign up on or before the 28th of the month, you will get the box that will be released on the 1st of the following month. All orders processed after the 28th will ship the month after the following month. For example, a purchase made on or before January 28th will be shipped February 1st. A purchase made on January 29th will be shipped March 1st.

The December 2016 Smart Art explored the Mixed Media painting technique and focused on the artist Robert Rauschenberg.  Mr. Rauschenbergis considered one of the most influential American artists for his role in the transition from Abstract Expressionism to modern art movements.

Hmm.  So my project didn’t turn out much like the pictures on the instructions.  I can pinpoint a few areas where I went wrong, though.  I used too much paint and didn’t let the layers/coats dry before moving on to the next step.  The paint was thinner than I expected (except for the yellow which was thicker than anticipated) so when I dropped it on the canvas it was just way more than I was expecting. Luckily Smart Art included a second canvas and a mixed media pad so that I can try this again!
