This month’s “first look” didn’t seem to wow me like it normally does.

The March 2017 Allure Beauty Box included the following items:

~akar SKIN Ruby Tint Lip Butter (2mL) ($8): The color on this is gorgeous, but the sample is tiny!  The information booklet describes it as “silky and smooth, ” but I didn’t find that to be the case.  It wasn’t necessarily rough, but it wasn’t silky smooth either.  It was almost like a strawberry smoothie that needed a little more time in the blender.  It is super hydrating and 100% natural.

~John Frieda 7 Day Volume In Shower Treatment (1oz) ($2.50): I have gotten this in a few other boxes and have enjoyed using it.  It did give my hair more volume, and it’s easy to use (you just apply in the shower and rinse after a few minutes).

~Londontown kur Nourishing Cuticle Oil ($18) and Londontown Lakur Enhanced Color ($16):  All subscribers will receive the cuticle oil and one of the following polishes: Love Bite #9 (cotton candy pink), Bespoked (blush), Cheerio (sheer pink), Princess Awaits (iridescent white with rose gold sparkles), or Fruit Tella (vibrant fuchsia).  I received Bespoked, and I love it. It’s a gorgeous sheer color, and the formula isn’t streaky at all.  The cuticle oil soaked in easily and I could see a difference after just a few uses.

~Derma E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum (7mL) ($2.85): This serum has a milk-like consistency and a light citrusy smell.  It absorbed very quickly and left my skin super soft.  I’m not sure this sample is going to be big enough to let me see any results, though.

~Secret Invisible Solid Deodorant in Cool Waterlily (Trial Size) ($1): This isn’t listed in the information booklet, but there was a separate ad in the box for it.  I enjoy getting special extras like this and will toss it in my purse for emergencies.
Allure Beauty Box Review - March 2017

All totaled the March 2017 Allure Beauty Box had a value of $48.35.  That’s on the low side for Allure, and this box was just meh.  The majority of the value of this box ($34) is from the nail products, which I liked, but if you didn’t like those / don’t nm
