I have subscribed to Beauty Box 5 for years, and while they have had their ups and downs, I have stuck with them.
The March 2017 Beauty Box 5 included the following items:
~Prestige Cosmetics True Metals Eyeshadow (Sterling) ($9.75): This color is stunning! It’s so intense, and the coverage is amazing.
~Bellápierre Cosmetic Glitter (Copper or Spectra) ($15): I received this in Copper, which is gorgeous! The information card says that it can be mixed with a medium or applied directly to the skin, but I found that it needs to be mixed with something. I could not get it to stick to my arm (okay it’s really W’s arm – he’s my new arm model) for a swatch! It did, however, stick to my fingers which had lotion on them. Note: Subscribers received either Copper or Spectra.
~Swatches:
~Lash Extending Primer from Manna Kadar Cosmetics (4g) (~$12): This isn’t a full-size (it would be noted on the information card if it was), but I can’t tell exactly how big a full-size of this is either? It looks about half the size of a normal tube of mascara, so that’s how I estimated. Anyway, it’s a mascara primer and is designed to naturally lengthen and bulk up lashes before you apply mascara. Not sure it’s a must have with an already fantastic mascara, but it did help with some “okay” mascaras I have.
~Sweep Lash Helper ($10): I thought these were tweezers until I read the information card. It is actually a tool to help you apply false lashes. I need to see if I can find a video of it in action to get a better idea how to use it. The card sort of explains it, but I’m more of a visual person.
~Sweep Lashes ($15): This is a set of 5 eyelashes. Oddly the set didn’t include any lash adhesive, so if you don’t have any, you’d need to go pick some up to use these. I have a friend who loves false lashes, so I will pass these (and maybe the lash tool) along to her.
All totaled the March 2017 Beauty Box 5 had a value of about $63. That’s an impressive value for a $12 box, and although I am passing a few items along, I think they did a great job mixing things up this month (I do wish they would have included lash glue, though).
