The Target Arts & Crafts Subscription for Kids shipped via UPS Sure Post (starts out with UPS and is delivered by USPS). UPS was actually in my area today, so they ended up delivering the package.

This shipped in a GIANT box and I was surprised to find this tiny little box inside.   They went a little overboard with the box size.

The March 2017 Target Arts & Crafts Subscription for Kids kit was “Watercolor Pencil Art.”

The instruction booklet provides lots of details on different techniques and gives step-by-step instructions for each.

The instruction booklet even shows what colors of the included colored pencils should be used to replicate the artwork shown.

The sketchbook contains 24 watercolor pages.  The page are easy to remove so that you can display all the amazing artwork your little ones have made!

The Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencil Art set retails for $12.99 at Target.com.  I found this surprising as I was expecting the value to meet or even exceed the $14.99 cost of the box.  I will give it another few months and go from there.

The Target Arts & Crafts Subscription for Kids is now sold out, but I will post if / when it becomes available!

Hmm, that’s a bit of a letdown. Not a great value, nor is it particularly “curated.” I hope they improve as time goes on. For now, it’s a hard pass from me.

I, too, was put out that the same item in my 1st box retailed on Target.com for 12.99. I made sure to let them know. My account was credited 2.00. Gave then another chance. Although this month’s box did retail for 14.99 on the website and in store…this box was Crayola’s Art Edge Naturescapes. I’m done with this subscription.
