GlobeIn has two box themes this month – Sustain and Eco-To-Go.  This review is on the Eco-To-Go box.

The April 2017 GlobeIn Artisan Box “Eco-To-Go” themed box included the following items:

~KeepCup To-Go MugPortugal, and USA, 12oz (Retail $26): Yay!  A KeepCup!  We received a KeepCup (not this cool cork one though) in a subscription box a year or two ago, and it was a big hit.  This is the medium sized one and holds 12oz of liquid.  The cork ring helps to keep heat “in” and was made in Portugal, using waste product from the wine cork manufacture.  The vessel itself is made out of fully tempered soda lime glass and while not “unbreakable,” it’s described as “surprisingly durable.”

~Alaffia Fair Trade Coconut Lip Balm
Togo, 0.15oz (Retail $3): This lip balm is made out of Certified Fair Trade coconut oil and cocoa butter and smells amazing.  Alaffia’s mission is to alleviate poverty and encourage gender equality.

~prAna Market Tote,
India, approximately 16x17in with 25in handle (Retail $25): This tote is priced at $7.50 on the prAna website, but is also marked unavailable.  I am using the GlobeIn provided value because it seems more in line with the other product values on the website.  This tote is made out of 100% Organic Cotton and is Fair-Trade Certified. It’s super roomy and also appears to be super durable.

~Matr Boomie Metallic Block Print Coin Purse,
India, 5.75×4″ (Retail $10): A variety of colors/patterns were sent out, and they are all equally gorgeous.  It’s made by artisans using the block printing technique and is generally crafted in areas rural areas where the climate is too dry for agriculture, and there aren’t a lot of job options.  I *believe*  this is supposed to have a tassel, but mine was missing.

~GlobeIn Greeting Card, 6×4″ (Retail $3): LOVE.  This is more of a framable print than a card, and I love the message.

~Shop Soko $25 OFF Card: The box also included a coupon code for $25 off your $80+ Shop Soko purchase.  Shop Soko offers jewelry handcrafted by 1800+ artisans in Kenya and helps them to build their businesses, improve production capacity, and sustainably increase income.

All totaled the April 2017 GlobeIn Artisan Box “Eco-To-Go” had a value of about $64. It wasn’t the highest value box they have offered, but it was, by far, one of my favorites!

What do you think of GlobeIn? If you are interested in subscribing, you can head over to their site and get signed up. Don’t forget that new customers can use the coupon code “WELCOME” to save $10 off their first month of a 3-month subscription to GlobeIn Artisan Box.
