Chococurb ships via USPS. A shipping fee applies in warm weather months as they use ice packs, insulated bubble wrap, and styrofoam containers to keep the chocolate cool and prevent it from melting.
So much chocolate! Chococurb doesn’t include an information card, but the April Classic Box included the following items:
~Fran’s Chocolates Macadamia Gold Bar ($5): These bars are a combo of macadamia nuts, buttery caramel, and dark chocolate. Sort of like a snickers bar, but better. And with more caramel!
~Pitch Dark Pinot Noir Salt & Chocolate ($8): This is everything. Just look at the salt on that bar! It’s infused with Willamette Valley pinot noir which makes it even better. Not too much can go wrong with a wine + sea salt + dark chocolate combo.
~Amedei Toscano Blond ($12.49): This dark chocolate bar is infused with Peaches and Apricots. I’m not in love with this one. The fruit taste (there are bits of fruit in the bar) was a tad too strong for me personally.
~theo Cinnamon Horchata ($3): This bar is described as a “cinnamon kiss of horchata in creamy milk chocolate”. I bit into it couldn’t taste the cinnamon at all at first. Then it hit me! It was quite flavorful – maybe even too flavorful for me since I am not a cinnamon fan. I did love the crispy texture though!
~Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate 72% Belize, Toledo ($8.50): This is a very rich chocolate with tasting notes of Dried Plum / Tart Cherry / Jasmine. This is the kind of chocolate that you only need the tiniest bit of to be satisfied. I can eat 89 million Hershey kisses and not feel like I got my chocolate fix, but one square of this and I am set.
