I was impressed with this box from the start!

The May 2017 GrowingRoots theme was “Sweet Dreams” and included the following items:

~Little Flower Lavender Bath Salt ($8): This is a blend of Dead Sea salt, epsom salt, baking soda and lavender essential oil.  According to their etsy site, they intentioanlly did not include lavender buds or any other debris so you wouldn’t have to worry about cleaning out your tub.  I love that.  It looks pretty, but who wants to clean up after a relaxing bath? Not me.

~Someday by Alison Mcghee and Peter H. Reynolds ($10.89): Such a sweet book!  It’s probably a little more for adults than for children and really makes you realize how quickly they grow.

~The Going to Bed Book by Sandra Boynton ($3.57): A classic!  It’s short, silly and goes through all the steps (and a few extra ones) that need to happen before bedtime.  My children always enjoy this one.

~Bonus BookHop on Pop by Dr. Seuss ($3.48): This is a condensed, board book version of the classic bestseller, perfect for babies and toddlers.  Dr. Suess books can get a little long at bedtime (that’s an understatement), but these sort board book versions are perfect.  Even better is that your little one can thumb through the pages themselves!

~Abbie’s House Bedtime Chart & 6 Magnets ($20): OMG, I love this! It’s a 9 x 9 x 1/4 inches Chore Chart with 6 Bedtime stickers.  You start with all the “chores” on the To Do line and *hopefully* you and your little one get all of your tasks finished up before bedtime.  My boys are 5 and 9, and I’m telling you, we still need this!

~GrowingRoots Eye Pillow ($15): This is a muslin bag filled with jasmine rice.  You can use it hot (30 seconds in the microwave) or cold (30 minutes in the freezer) and the cover is made of 100% cotton and is machine washable. Ahhh, feels so good on tired eyes.

~Lavender Seeds: The final item in the box was a packet of lavender seeds.  Lavender induces sleep and reduces anxiety levels.  Much needed for moms!

All totaled I came up with a value of $60.94 for the May 2017 GrowingRoots box. I have to tell you; I was really impressed with this box.  The curation was spot on, the value was great, and the overall presentation was fantastic.  I’d say this box is off to a great start and I hope they can keep it up!
