ipsy sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products based on your ipsy profile. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost), and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10. They also offer a rewards system for subscribers. You can earn points by reviewing the items you get in your bags, sharing your ipsy bag on social media, etc. You can then redeem your points for products (often items which were featured in previous months) on the ipsy website.

ipsy ships around the 10th of the month via DHL Global Mail. I expect to receive my package a week after they ship. Due to some issues at the DHL processing facility in Ohio, this month’s package was very delayed.
There is a ton of variation in ipsy bags, so they don’t include product details on their information card. If you happen to stumble on this review, don’t be surprised if you end up with an entirely different bag. Specific details on the items in your bag can be found in your ipsy account online.
The May 2017 ipsy theme is Summer Friday (my box didn’t have the normal theme card this month), and my Glam Bag included the following items:
~Global Beauty Care Charcoal Wash Off Mask (1oz) ($1): This isn’t very “valuable,” but I was thrilled to receive it. The charcoal in the mask deep cleans by sticking to dirt and oil and drawing them out of pores. I did feel like it left my skin cleaner and the price point ($4.99 for 5oz) is amazing. I wouldn’t call it a new holy grail, but I would buy it again.
~Manna Kadar Cosmetics Radiance Split Pan Bronzer and Highlighter Duo (0.105oz) ($11.03): I do love this, but it’s what I would call a subscription box regular. It’s been in a bunch of boxes, so I will likely end up passing this along to a friend. It has a bronzer to give you a sun-kissed glow and a highlighter for all over illuminating. It’s also paraben-free, cruelty-free and allergy tested.
~IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara in Black (0.17g) ($13.60): Yes! This mascara is fantastic, and *might* just be a new holy grail. My lashes looked crazy long, and it didn’t clump or flake. Perfection!
~Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen (BlackNoir) (0.8g) ($6): I am not an eyeliner wearer, so this will end up being passed on to a friend as well. The swatch glided on smoothly and could give you non-smudge bold eye in a hurry!
~Luxie Beauty Luxie Dreamcatcher Precision Foundation Brush 660 ($23): This brush is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. It’s called a foundation brush but works for liquid, cream, or powder foundations, plus concealers, highlighters, AND bronzers. I am going to use it mainly for powders since I don’t wear foundation, but I love that it can do it all.
~The Bag: Cute!! ipsy sends out a different bag design every month and I think this is adorable! It’d be so cute in your beach bag to hold your makeup/valuables!
~Swatches
All totaled I came up with a value of $54.623 for the May 2017 ipsy Glam Bag. That’s a great value for a $10 box, and even though I have a few items I am going to pass along, I am still happy!
