~Good evening! I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a Sunday Sentiments because of the holiday weekend, but figured why not??? It’s thunderstorming here and I actually love it, but I’m sure not everyone is thrilled with it! It should be nicer tomorrow though so we can get back outside.

~Speaking of outside, B and I conquered the dune climb at the Sleeping Bear Dunes yesterday. I haven’t been there since I was a kid (I am 100% sure my parents did not let me climb them though) and B’s never been so we went and checked it out.  The park (which is on Lake Michigan) is gorgeous. The dune climb itself is no joke. It’s steep and about 450 feet to the bottom.  It probably takes less than 5 minutes to slide / walk down the dunes, but the sign at the top warns it might take you 2 hours to climb back up.   Ack!   So we slid down, walked around the lakeshore for a while and then climbed back up.  It took us 25 minutes to climb up which I didn’t think was bad at all.  We didn’t sit down and rest, but we (okay me) did stop a few times.  We’re planning on going back this summer and bringing a picnic lunch, etc. to enjoy down by the water.  It’s so empty (and SO pretty) at the bottom.  Oh, and making sure it’s not an insanely hot day.  There is NO SHADE anywhere and the thought of trying to climb the dunes  in 90-degree heat with the sun reflecting off the sand sounds like a nightmare.  It was about 70 when we went and that was perfect.

~I had a few questions about my sunglasses on Instagram and they are from Target!  $3 in the Bullseye Playground / Dollar Spot area.  No joke. $3.  I’m obsessed with them.  I may or may not have bought “a few” extra pairs ;).
