BOXWALLA Beauty Box Review - June 2017
Boxwalla boxes (the boxes themselves) are probably one of the most interesting boxes out there. They are made in India from tree-free handmade paper. The boxes are made out of cotton scraps, using the traditional art of paper-making that involves nine steps and takes several weeks. The handmade paper is then meticulously fashioned into the boxes that the goodies get shipped in.

The June 2017 Boxwalla Beauty Box theme was “Wandering Wood Nymph’s Sun-kissed Alchemy” and included the following items:

~Earthwise Beauty Nap in the Meadow (1oz) ($50): Nap in the Meadow is an ultra-lightweight aloe-based serum.  Its benefits include:  “deep hydration, strong anti-inflammatory action, anti-oxidants, anti-aging benefits, refreshing effects, and even some acne reducing, tissue repairing, and sunburn and sun damage repair.”  According to the website, this is to be used as a first moisturizing step, before a facial oil or oil-based serum.  I LOVE that they included that level of instruction with this.  I never quite know what order to use products in so I found this very helpful.  It smells fresh, and if it’s 1/2 as fabulous as it sounds, I will be happy.

~Earthwise Beauty Ruby Facial Oil (0.50fl.oz) ($58): Ruby Facial Oil has a light fruit scent and works for all skin types.  It’s ultra-hydrating but doesn’t feel greasy on your skin at all.  It’s ideal for summer and contains properties to help with sun-damage.

~Earthwise Farizad’s Veil (0.9oz) ($50): Farizad’s Veil is probably one of the most interesting products we’ve received in a box recently.  It’s an SPF30 powder.  You can dust it on your skin or mix it with your favorite facial oil.  The scent has a floral base with some deeper notes of frankincense.  This is certified cruelty-free, vegan, all-natural, handcrafted and fair trade and will make a great item for not just protecting yourself this summer, but for your children as well.
