GlobeIn has two box themes this month – Al Fresco and Refresh. This review is on “Refresh.” You can check out my review on the Al Fresco box here.
The June 2017 GlobeIn Artisan Box “Refresh” themed box included the following items:
~Wildlife Works Kikoi Blanket, Kenya, 60 x 39in (Retail $25): Kikoi is a Swahili word for wrap. It can be used as a towel, blanket, sarong; you name it. It’s well-made, and I love the tassels!
~Sun Hat, Mexico (Retail $25): This sun hat was hand woven in Oaxaca, Mexico. It’s made from leaves of dried palms and will keep you well-protected from the hot sun.
~Moroccan Tea Glass, Morocco, 4in tall x 2.5in diameter (Retail $15): This is slightly larger than a juice glass, but not nearly as large as a highball glass. The detail is stunning and because it is hand blown from recycled glass and hand-painted it may have “imperfections.” I think that makes it even more fabulous!
~Moroccan Mint Tea, North Africa (Retail $5): Numi Tea is Fair Trade certified and made with 100% real ingredients. The founders of Numi Tea have traveled the world in search of exotic, authentic and organic herbs and teas. Their fair trade purchases and the building of schools, hospitals, and daycare centers ensure their commitment to investing in farmers and engaging in meaningful cultural exchanges.
All totaled the GlobeIn Artisan Box had a value of $70. That’s over the cost of the box, but with the recent increase, I would like to see it a little higher or at least have an additional item.
