The June 2017 Play! by Sephora theme is “Your Summer Starters” and included the following items:

~tarte Tarteguard 20 Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen (7.5mL) ($5.40): Love!  This is a lightweight tinted sunscreen designed for all skin types.  It’s formulated without Parabens and Phthalates and is also vegan, hypoallergenic, and dermatologist tested.  It gave me just enough coverage without feeling heavy, and the built-in SPF20  is a huge plus.

~Murad Invisiblur™ Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30 PA+++ (5mL) ($10.83): The Murad Invisiblur contains an SPF30 and blurs your skin.  It’s almost like an Instagram filter in a bottle.  It can be worn alone, mixed with your favorite foundation or applied over existing makeup.  I prefer it alone.

~Bumble and bumble Bb. Don’t Blow It Fine (H)air Styler (15mL) ($4): This cream gives your hair texture and body.  I air dry my hair most of the time and always like to put something in it, so I don’t get too many flyaways.  I still prefer my sea salt spray, but this works too.

~Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick (K-Dub) (3mL) ($9.09): This is BOLD!  The formula is long lasting and quite impressive.  It has a matte finish and is highly pigmented.  It’s too bold for me, but someone can rock it.Play! by Sephora Review - June 2017

~Briogeo Curl Charisma™ Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Crème (0.75oz) ($2.50):  Hmm.  I have no idea why I received this since my hair is straight and does not even have an ounce of curls/ waves to it.  I am going to need to double check my profile to see what’s up with this.

Play! by Sephora Review - June 2017

~Mugler Alien Spray (1.2mL) ($4.46): Alien has notes of Solar Accord, Jasmine Sambac, Green Notes, Cashmeran, Vanilla, Transparent Amber. I found it a little heavy for summer, but I will save it and see how I feel about it when the weather cools.

~The Bag: As usual we got a cute little bag that matched the theme this month!

~Swatches:

My June 2017 Play! by Sephora had a value of $36.28.  That’s a decent value for this box, but it was a bit of a miss for me.  The lip color wasn’t what I would select for myself, and the Curl Charisma is not suited for my hair at all.  I do still think I got my $10 worth though!

My hair is curly and I had to double check my profile because I didn’t get any of the curl products. Doesn’t seem like they must care about preferences. :/
