fabfitfun ships via FedEx Smart Post.  They typically ship to annual box subscribers first, then “VIP” subscribers (those who have subscribed long-term) and then quarterly subscribers.

I knew full spoilers before I opened this, but it’s always more fun to see everything in person,

How cool is this box?  It was illustrated by Libby Vanderploeg and features vacation spots, beach scenes and sneaks in the name of all of the brands featured in the box.  I’m not going to lie; I am pretty obsessed with her work!

The fabfitfun insert is more of a mini magazine than an information card. It has articles, interviews, etc. The Summer fabfitfun box included the following items:

~Salted Himalayan Pink Sea Salt Rocks with Mini Grinder (Choice Chef) ($26):  For “Choice 1” VIP subscribers could choose between Chef, Artist or Traveler.  I opted for “Chef” and then for an additional $10 per choice, I added-on the other two options (as seen below).  This works like a cheese grater would.  But instead of grating cheese, you are grating salt.  It’s GOOD!  The information card suggests using it on salads, steaks, popcorn or watermelon, but I am going to suggest you try it on ice-cream.  For real.  It’s out of this world!

Choice 1 – Other Options: Other options were: Choice Travel: Understated Leather On The Road Again Travel Set ($28) or Choice Artist: Amy Tangerine Ready, Set, Create! Art Kit ($22): The Travel Set includes a vegan leather passport cover and luggage tag while the Art Kit includes a canvas, brushes, acrylic paints and an alphabet stencil.  I like the Travel Set, but I am not thrilled with the Art Kit.  I will likely end up giving it to my kids to play with.  Again, these were add-on options ($10/each), and if you purchase the box, you will receive either the Travel, Artist of Chef option, NOT all three.  Note: A random selection will be made for new subscribers between Chef, Traveler or Artist.

~Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk (Choice Beauty) ($20): For “Choice 2” VIP subscribers could choose between Fitness or Beauty.  I went for Beauty and then for an additional $10 I added on the Fitness Boost (as seen below).  Klorane isn’t new to subscription boxes, but I still love getting their dry shampoo.  It works well, smells good and doesn’ t leave a gross white residue – even if you use too much.

Choice 2 – Other Option: Fitness Boost: Way of Will 03 Soothe and Cool Massage Oil ($29.50): As I mentioned I added on the Fitness Boost for an additional $10.  fabfitfun actually forgot to include this in my box (along with my Mystery Bundle), so I had to wait about two weeks for it to arrive.  I am not sold on the smell, but hopefully I get used to it. Note: A random selection will be made for new subscribers between Beauty or Fitness.

~Michael Stars Ruana (Alligator Tie Dye) ($54): VIP subscribers were able to choose their scarf color preference (options were Marrakech, Brush Batik or Alligator Tie Dye).  I opted for the Alligator Tie Dye.  It’s 41″ x 72″ and made out of 100% Viscose.  You can wear it as a scarf, a sarong or use as a wrap.  Very versatile!

~Kris Nations Mystic Bar Necklace (Howlite) ($58): VIP subscribers were able to choose between Turquoise, Howlite or Peach Moonstone.  I opted for the Howlite.  It’s a delicate necklace gorgeous gray and white stones.  The stones are hand-cut by craftsmen in India, and each one has an attribute that helps you live every day with positive intentions. What is really cool though is that they are all different.  Some necklaces have six stones, some (like mine) have five, and all of the stones (and the placement) are unique.

~Avene Ultra-Light Hydrating Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ ($28): I have been using this for a few weeks now and haven’t had any issues.  It’s protected my skin from the sun, and I haven’t had any breakouts (not from this anyway).

~Bkr Little Bottle (Rosy) ($35): VIP subscribers were able to choose between Rosy or Romeo.  I opted for Rosy.  It’s more of a hot pink than a rose, but I love it!  These bottles are 500mL (16.9 fl.oz) and are glass with a silicone sleeve. I can’t use bottles like this when I workout (I am not coordinated enough to drink from a wide mouth bottle while running or spinning), but they are easy to tote around to get my daily water intake.

~Juice Beauty Smoothing Eye Concentrate ($29): The Juice Beauty Eye Concentrate is designed to moisturize and soothe dark circles and fine lines.  It is formulated without parabens, petroleum, propylene or butylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates, pesticides, phthalates, artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances.  I typically enjoy Juice Beauty products, so I have high hopes for this one.

~Cargo HD Picture Perfect Highlighter (Bronze) ($30):  This works for my skin tone, but I feel like including a blush/highlighter in a box isn’t always the best idea because everyone’s skin tones are so different?   It says it is “universally flattering” on the website, so maybe it does work for everyone? It’s shimmery, but not in a bold way.  In a good way!  It’s described as a “velvety powder” and goes on smoothly.

~Vital Proteins Marine Collagen Anti-Aging Dietary Supplement individual Stick (Sponsored): The box also includes a sample of Vital Proteins Marine Collagen. It’s unflavored and can be added to any beverage – hot or cold.  I have a canister of this and mix it with my Spark on occasion.  It makes it slightly thicker, but I can’t taste a difference.  You won’t see any results from just one packet, but in the time I have been using it (on and off for months) I can tell it has helped my hair (I can’t see much of a difference with my skin).

~Salted Coupon: The box also, included a coupon code for three free months of Salted TV.  Salted is billed as the Netflix of cooking.  I haven’t tried it, but I would love to hear your thoughts if you have!

All totaled the Summer 2017 fabfitfun (with the variations I selected) had a value of $276.   I wasn’t over the moon about the box at first, but after having it a few weeks and using products in it, I am thrilled with it!
