Stitch Fix Review - August 2017
Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for women. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. You only pay for the items you love and decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee which is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. If you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Stitch Fix is now offering exchanges for sizing as well. Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on, and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

My Stitch Fix shipped via FedEx and took just a few days to arrive this month.

I peeked at my box this month (you can peek thru your profile once it ships) and thought it looked better than last months.

I don’t do the best job of filling out my checkout form and reviewing the pieces I get, but I do have my Stitch Fix blog reviews linked in my profile which I think helps a lot.

I am not totally sure why, but my fee was waived this month?  It’s possible it’s because I didn’t keep anything from my last fix, but I am not sure? My August 2017 Stitch Fix (Fix #48) included the following items:

~Octavia Sana Floral Print Infinity Scarf ($28): Ohh, this scarf is gorgeous!  It’s a cream background with gorgeous shades of blues and rosy pinks.  However, I just wasn’t feeling this when I put it on.  It wasn’t “me.”   I am in a Fall mood, and this is much more Spring-like. Verdict: Returned.

~Papermoon Marisol Mixed Material 3/4 Sleeve Knit Top ($38): This shirt has a solid navy (it looks almost purple in some pictures, but it’s navy) front and a navy and white polka dot back.  Out of the box, I thought no way, but the longer I had this on, the more I liked it.  Still, I am not sure what I would wear with this?  I don’t wear jeans often, and the only color pants I really own are black? Hmm.  I do like it though. Verdict: Undecided.

~Dee Elle Darby Knit Dress ($34): I wasn’t sure at first if this was a dress or a long tunic.  It’s a dress, but I tried it on over leggings.  I don’t hate the fit, but I am not a fan of the Army green color, and the bells sleeves are SO not me. Verdict: Returned.

~Rune Porter Legging ($44): Of course I like these!  What’s not to like? They are supportive without being too tight/uncomfortable, but they aren’t thin like LuLaRoe leggings. They are a nice everyday legging (I am, so team leggings are pants). I do wish they had a yoga style waistband though?  If they did, I would keep them in a second. Verdict: Undecided.

~B Collection Kamden Funnel Neck Knit Top ($54): I mean you know I love this!  It’s striped, and while it doesn’t have a hood, it has a cowl neck which is just as good.  I thought the fit was true-to-size (I got a medium) and it was cozy without being sloppy. Verdict: Kept.

This fix was a huge improvement from last month, and I am super happy!  I am for sure keeping at least one thing.  My Fix was $198, but if I keep everything, it would be $148.50 (that’s taking into account the 25% discount).  I almost feel like if I keep the leggings and the cowl neck too, I will have to keep at all? LOL! We’ll see!
