From Mommy Mailbox

Hey mamas, we want to let you know about some changes taking place at Mommy Mailbox. Those of you who are long-time subscribers have probably noticed that your boxes have arrived later each month than they used to. This is due to a combination of factors (some of which has been pure bad luck!) but a big factor has been that the fulfillment center we’ve used has grown to the point that it has become harder to coordinate days to pack and ship with all their other clients. This is nobody’s fault, but we’ve decided it is in our best interest to switch to a different fulfillment center.

What should you expect while we make this transition?

*Expect your October boxes to look a little different. While we move all our boxes and supplies to a new location, the interim box is not going to be our normal printed box. We’ll be back to business as usual by November.

*Expect your October and November box to arrive during the second week of the month–no later than the 15th. We’ll figure out a more permanent shipping schedule once we are settled in at our new facility.

*Expect that our #1 priority will continue to be bringing a smile to your face!

Thank you in advance for your patience as we make this move!

Mommy Mailbox is one of my favorite boxes to open.  99% of the time I am “spoiler-free” which makes it even more fun.

The September 2017 Mommy Mailbox was curated by Jessica Millar at The Mommy Yoga. The box included the following items:

~Vine Street Market Large Athletic Tote ($29.99): Mommy Mailbox released this as a spoiler item, but I didn’t think I would love it as much as I do!  It’s 34″ x 22″ and can hold up to 60lbs – basically, it’s huge.  It has two side pockets for water bottles, keys, etc. and can be worn as a crossbody or over the shoulder.  Because it’s made with athletic mesh construction, it’s ideal for sweaty gym clothes, swimsuits, towels, etc.

~Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator ($29): Manna Kadar’s Glo Illuminator is an incandescent liquid that lights up your skin giving it an all over radiance.  It can be used alone (as a highlighter or whenever you need a little shimmer) or mixed with your foundation / BB cream.  Just remember, a little of this goes a long way.

~Stonework Studio Yoga Mat Cleanser (6.67oz) ($14.95): The Yoga Mat Cleanser uses a blend of essential oils, witch hazel, and white vinegar, which help to eliminate bacteria and odor from your mat.  I don’t do yoga (not often anyway), but we do have a mat under our exercise bike that gets icky, so this is great.

~Starboard Alchemy Sea Garden Mask ($22): The Sea Garden Mask bills itself as an anti-aging mask, but also helps to reduce redness and improve elasticity.  I tend to mix these types of masks with too much liquid, so although this calls for 2tbsp, I used slightly less.  So far I am happy with how soft this has made my skin.

~Bumble Bar Organic Energy Bar (Chia Almond) (~$2): I am pretty picky about energy bars and just wasn’t loving this one.  The texture was okay, and it was very filling, but I didn’t love the zesty ginger, cardamom and cinnamon flavors.

All totaled I came with a value of just about $108 for the September 2017 Mommy Mailbox.  That’s a fantastic value, and I am thrilled with this box.  The curation was fabulous, and I say this every month, but don’t let the name of this box scare you away. It is NOT just for moms!
