Yuzen Review - Fall 2017
Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that sends you a little Zen for every season.  Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies.  Yuzen was previously a monthly subscription box but switched to quarterly a while back.  I like the quarterly format of this box better than monthly.

I say it every time I do a Yuzen review, but I am always impressed by the packaging on their boxes.  Everything is always so beautifully packaged with gorgeous prints and colors.

The Fall 2017 Yuzen box included the following items:

~Poo-Pourri Original Citrus ($4.99): Poo-Pourri!  You spray this in the bowl before you go and no one will ever know!  For real.  Also good to know – it has no harsh chemicals, no parabens, no phthalates, no aerosols and no formaldehyde.  Put this in your purse and take it with you wherever you go!

~Shray Go-Getter Goddess Mask ($6): The Go-Getter Goddess mask hydrates your skin and contains potent anti-aging properties to give you glowing results.  It’s thinner than some other sheet masks and I didn’t think it had as much product on it.  None of those are bad things – just notes!  I thought it was fantastic.  Very soothing and my skin felt amazing.

~Good Spread (Peanut Butter & Honey) (~$1):  I personally don’t think you can go wrong with peanut butter!  I tried this with an apple, and it’s perfect!

~Red Flower Cleansing Hair Wash & Softening Hair Conditioner (50mL each) ($15.50): These slightly remind me of hotel samples, but very nice ones.  They smell amazing and are free of dyes, parabens, petrochemicals and synthetic preservatives.  They are also gluten free, vegan and cruelty-free.  Perfect for traveling.

~NewChapter Perfect Hair, Skin & Nails ($30.76):  Ohh, I am thrilled to get this in here!  This came in another subscription box I receive, but I am out, so the timing is perfect.  It helps to strengthen hair and build strong nails.  I used my other bottle in full and was quite pleased with the results.

~Savannah Bee Tupelo Honey Lip Balm ($3.50): This lip balm is amazing. It’s smooth (not chunky or hard) and made my lips feel super soft.

~Shamanuti Activated Charcoal Cleanser ($10): This cleanser is designed to “neutralise acidity and absorb impurities”. It’s great for acne prone skin and is gentle enough for sensitive skin, but enough so that it does its job.

~Torie & Howard Chewie Fruities (~$2): Torie & Howard makes delicious organic candy.  Their fruit chews are individually wrapped and very flavorful.  I find them softer than say, a Now n’ Later and much tastier.

All totaled the Fall 2017 Yuzen had a value of $73.75.  That’s over double the cost of box and I loved it!  The skin & hairs did account for half the cost of the box, but I am super happy with that, so this is a winner for me!
