I received all of the books this month, but I thought we’d talk about The Wife Between Us.

~The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen: I believe this is a BOTM exclusive as the general public release date is 1.9.18. I don’t know what is happening in this book or what’s going to happen next, but I love it.  It has lots of twists and turns and I feel like I may end up reading it twice just to get it all sorted out!

From the Publisher:

Brides, Wives, and Other Lies

This is a thriller with such great twists and turns, I am still catching my breath after reading it. Proper praise for this debut collaboration runs perilously close to requiring a full-blown SPOILER alert—and I don’t want to ruin a single moment of reading rapture for anyone! I’ll settle for a promise: If you want a great read with an unexpected ending—and middle and sides—choose The Wife Between Us. All your expectations will be met.

The plot is simple—at first. A young woman, energetic, optimistic, and in love, plans her wedding to the man of her dreams. Will she let an unhappy ex-wife get in the way of marital bliss? Not a chance. But chance has nothing to do with it. Now the plot thickens and we the readers are caught in the delicious web, with no way out.

From the first to the last page, the authors play with our trust issues: Whom among the cast of characters can we believe? From the “bright young thing” to the hardy old aunt, from the handsome lover to the loyal friend, everyone has a story to tell, a viewpoint to offer. And no one is above presenting themselves in the best light—and throwing everyone else into the darkest corners.

Events unfold and our bride-to-be discovers that even the best-laid plans can fall apart. Especially when no one—not one single person—is who they seem to be. A parable for our times? Appearances can be deceiving, the past always comes out, and only the determined can survive. That is the lesson of The Wife Between Us, a lesson delivered with wit, verve, and unstoppable momentum. Try to put this book down, I dare you. You won’t be able to. Like I said, I am still catching my breath.
