ipsy Review - September 2018
ipsy sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products based on your ipsy profile. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost), and I am always amazed at how they do it. I don’t always love everything in the bags, but I always always think it was worth my $10.  They also offer a rewards system for subscribers.  You can earn points by reviewing the items you get in your bags, sharing your ipsy bag on social media, etc. You can then redeem your points for products (often items which were featured in previous months) on the ipsy website.

ipsy ships around the 10th of the month via USPS.  My original bag actually got lost in transit and this is the replacement bag I received.

ipsy bags have a ton of variation, so they don’t include product details on their information card. If you happen to stumble on this review, don’t be surprised if you end up with an entirely different bag. Specific details on the items in your bag can be found in your ipsy account online.

The September 2018 ipsy theme is “Who Is Going To Stop Me” and my Glam Bag included the following items:

~The Bag: Such a cute bag this month!  However, I have finally realized that I do not “need” all of these ipsy bags and am making an effort to clear them out.  It’s hard though because they are all SO CUTE!

~MAC Prep + Prime (6mL) ($6.20): Prep + Prime is a lightweight gel lotion that evens out skin redness and tone.  It is used as a base layer under makeup to improve the laydown of powder and foundation, but I feel like it also works well alone to smooth out skin.

~Hayadi Weightless Smoothing Cream (30mL) ($4.38): This cream seals the cuticle and controls frizz and makes your hair look better right away.  My hair is doesn’t have much friss or any split-ends (I just got a haircut), but flyways are always an issue for me.

~Luxie Goodnight Brush – 110 ($20): This is the Harley Quinn version of the Flat Blender Brush.  It works for covering everything from those pesky dark circles or to achieve a full coverage base.

~The Creme Shop Double Cleanse 2-in-1 Facial Foam (30mL) ($2): This formula is designed to soften and brighten for smooth, supple skin. I have used it in the past and found that my skin felt cleansed, but I didn’t see a huge difference.

~Ciate London Extraordinary Translucent Powder (~$4): I cannot find this anywhere online, so I can only assume it’s a new product that has yet to launch (I really have no idea).

All totaled my September 2018 ipsy had a value of about $36.  I think I like this bag more than my original one, so even though it was late, I am considering it a win!
