Stitch Fix Kids Review - April 2019
Stitch Fix is a personal styling service for men, women and now kids. With Stitch Fix, you provide your style, size (they also do maternity fixes), and budget preferences, and they will send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. You only pay for the items you love and decide to keep. There is a $20 styling fee which is applied to your order should you decide to keep any / all of the pieces.  If you don’t keep anything, you don’t receive a refund of the fee. If you keep all of the pieces, you get a 25% discount on everything!  Stitch Fix is now offering exchanges for sizing as well. Also, I should mention that you are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.  You have a few days to try everything on, and the box comes with a bag and a prepaid USPS return label so you can easily ship back the pieces you aren’t interested in.

My Stitch Fix shipped via FedEx and took just a few days to arrive this month. This is our fifth time trying Stitch Fix Kids, and I opted to get a box for my 7-year-old son (W).  He gets a lot of his older brother’s hand-me-downs, so I figured this would be a great way for him to get some new things of his own. Plus my older son would not be into trying this all on!

If you can’t wait to see what’s in your FIX, you can go into your account after your box ships to check what you are getting that month. I always do!

W’s April 2019 Stitch Fix included the following pieces:

~Joule Woven Pull On Short (Navy) ($24): Totally perfect. Pull-on shorts are the best.  These look kind of “dressy” but feel like play shorts.  The fit was true-to-size and I sm going to see about finding these in other colors.

~UNTUCKit Long Sleeve Button-Up Shirt (Pink) ($22): I am not sure who loves this more?  W or I??  It fits him perfectly – the sleeves don’t need to be rolled and the length is just right. The material is soft and smooth and W said it was very comfortable.

~adriano goldschmeid kids Calx Short Sleeve Printed Henley Knit Tee (Grey) ($18): This fits well and W looks adorable in it, but it is just not a style I would pick out. It is almost sweatshirt material.  Well, not quite, but it is much thicker than a standard t-shirt would be.  W said it was comfortable though.

~Andy & Evan Abraham Long Sleeve Chambray Dot Woven (Indigo) ($24): Another winner!  W doesn’t own any chambray shirts (LOL) and this piece is very versatile.  The sleeves are a tad short though so I am going to try and exchange it for a larger size.

~PX Laurence Short Sleeved Polo Pique Print Tee (Mint) ($16): I have been wanting to get W polo shirts with fun prints so I was thrilled we received this.  W loves the palm trees and mint is totally his color.  Also the price point is spot on!

~Flapdoodles 2 Pack Print Combo Solid Shorts (Blue) ($24): I don’t believe I have ever received a two pack from Stitch Fix before.  But I am totally into it.  These are perfect play shorts. They are soft, comfortable and only $12/pair!

~Capsule Grant Short Sleeve All Over Print Tee (White) ($14): Maybe my favorite item of the bunch.  A flamingo print t-shirt?  YAAASSS!  I would wear this in my size!  Most importantly, W loves it too.  The fit is true-to-size and he’s got a little roomto grow into it.

~Lucky Brand Louka Short Sleeve Plaid Shirt (Red) ($22): This is another one that is not my style.  W said it was “okay” which means he’s not really in love, but would wear it if I really wanted him too.  I found the fight to be slightly snug as it pulled a little across the chest.

~Andy & Evan Dave Stretch Twill Chinos (Turquoise) ($24): Score!  I was looking for fun colored pants for the boys at Easter and came up basically empty-handed.   I had trouble finding them in the price point I wanted mainly – I did find pink ones at Target though.  Anyway, these check all the boxes.  They are bright and fun and very reasonably priced.  They have an adjustable waistband and are made from a soft, slightly stretchy material.

~Levis 511 Slim Super Soft Sueded Pant (Grey) ($24): I like these 100x better than I expected.  The fit is a cross between jeans and joggers – they look like jeans, but feel like joggers.  I LOVE the slim fit too!

Stitch Fix Kids Review - April 2019

We loved our April Stitch Fix!  There were two pieces that we didn’t necessarily love, but it makes sense to keep everything and get the 25% off.  If we sent the two items (the striped t-shirt and the short-sleeved plaid shirt) back, it would cost us more to keep the remaining eight items (and lose the keep all discount) than it would keep everything.

Do you get Stitch Fix?  What have been your favorite items you’ve received so far?  If you haven’t checked out Stitch Fix but want to give it a try, click here.  And don’t forget, the better feedback and more information you give, the better chance you will have to get amazing Fixes that work for you!
