What I Bought This Week

You know how much I love thredUp, so I figured it was time for a “What Did I Buy This Week” thredUp edition! Here are details from my latest (received) order:

  • Charles Henry Off the Shoulder Dress (Retail Price: $88 / thredUp Price: $17.24):   I have loved these dresses for ages, but just have not been able to bring myself to pay $88 (or even the sale price of $52) for one.  Luckily I found this blue one in perfect condition on thredUp for $17.24 and a red one on Poshmark for $20.  SCORE!!
  • Vineyard Vines Boys Swim Trunks (Retail Price: $55 / thredUp Price: $9.99):  $9.99 for VV swim trunks?  YES!!!  These won’t fit W (my 7 year-old) for a few more years, but for this price I could not pass them up.  FYI – All swim (Womans and Kids) is 50% off on thredUp right now with coupon code WOW.

  • Lululemon Everywhere Kit 4L Makeup Bag (Retail Price: $48 / ThredUp Price: $9.99): Meh.  I wasn’t sure about this one when I ordered it and did not end up loving it in person. I wanted it to be just a tad larger.  I ended up selling it on Poshmark, so it was no big deal.
  • Vineyard Vines Youth Bowtie (Retail Price: $45 / ThredUp Price: $14.99):  I do not think that $15 is necessarily a “deal” for a Kid’s bowtie, but W is all about them these days and VV has such cute ones!

And just for fun, here is a picture of W and I wearing a few of our thredUp pieces on our recent trip!  L is not wearing anything from thredUp in this picture, but I have some fantastic things on the way for him from my order yesterday.

That’s it from here.  What did you buy this week?  Have you snagged anything from thredUp lately??

FYI – For selling clothing I find Poshmark to be much better in terms of profit, but if you are just looking to clean out your closet with minimal effort – thredUp is better.  I personally like to buy on thredUp and sell on Poshmark.

Spread the love

Totally agree with your last paragraph! But I don’t really have the time to deal with all the separate shipping, so I usually wind up sending things to thredup.
    Love the dress, great find!
