The August 2019 GlobeInSALUD” themed box included the following items:

1. Personal Sangria Pitcher – Dark Blue, Morocco ($40 value):  I can get behind the idea of a personal Sangria picture.  Hahaha!  This picture was handmade in Morocco using Fair Trade labor by artisans working with Serghini Workshops.  They set wages above minimum levels, provide heathcare and retirement pension plans and guarantee a safe working enviornment for their artists.

Measurements: 6.5″ H x 7″ W

Materials: Handmade ceramic.

Care Instructions: Handwash only.

Country of Origin: Morocco

2. Stemless Wine Glass – Green Swirl, Mexico ($15 value): I was surprised there was not a second glass, but then I realized that it is a personal Sangria pitcher, so you only need one.  Makes sense.  This glass was made in Mexico by artisans working with Cristaluc.  Their craftsmen are paid fair wages, which enables them to provide for their families.

Measurements: 4″ glass

Materials: Handblown glass

Care Instructions: Use only for room temperature or chilled liquids. Not designed for hot liquids. Hand wash.

Country of Origin: Mexico

3. Tropical Glass Stirrers – Set of 6,  Mexico ($12 value): How fun are these???  They are again made by artisans working with Cristaluc in Mexico.  I love them all and had a hard time picking a favorite.  I think I am going with the palm tree for now. Love them!

Measurements: 8″

Materials: Handmade glass.

Includes: cactus, parrot, palm tree, dolphine, whale, starfish

Country of Origin: Mexico

4. Palm Leaf Fan,  Mexico ($15 value):  This fan was hand-woven in Oaxaca City, Mexico.  If you do not want to use it as a fan, it would also work well as a sort of placemat on your table.

Measurements: 14″ L x 9″ W

Materials: Handwoven palm leaf

Country of Origin: Mexico

5. Dried Fair Trade Mangoes by Level Ground,  Colombia ($7 value): The final item in the box is a pouch of dried mangos.  I do not know if I have had dried mangoes before, but I know I will be having them again.  Yum!

Measurements:  100 g / 3.5 oz

Country of Origin: Colombia
