First, for those of you that don’t know what “White Elephant Gift” is, we will let Wikipedia explain it for you:
While the term “white elephant” originally referred to a less-than-serious gift, its association with this particular game has become synonymous in some circles, such that the game itself is commonly called a White Elephant Gift Exchange. This game has also been called a Gift Swap, Yankee Swap, Black Santa, Chinese Gift Exchange, Dirty Santa, Greedy Punter, Thieves’ Christmas, Machiavellian Christmas, or Naughty Santa.
Now, on to the “Mystery Box” portion:
This edition of our mystery box will include MYSTERIOUS things as usual. However, in this case, it will come in a box or bag marked with an adorable white elephant completely ready to be used in a gift exchange. We personally think it would be fun to not look inside the package at all, so that even you are surprised by it’s contents. You can order multiples and they will be separately “wrapped” up so they can be used as separate gifts in the exchange(s). You can pick from the from the $10 version and the $20 version, as those are the 2 most popular price points in gift exchanges. With that being said, you will get way more for $10 or $20 than you would if you just picked up something from the store!
Notes and whatnot:
- The box or bag will be marked with a White Elephant sticker, similar to what you see on the image.
- The contents may vary from 1 item to several small items,
- We try to our best to make this a FUN gift to bring. Some instances the item(s) may just be weird, but that just makes it more fun. Please order this with knowing a sense of humor is required for some items included. Although items are family friendly, please no prudes 😛
- If you order more than one, they will be packaged separately.
- There will be an indication on the package if it was a $10 box or a $20 box, just in case you order one or more of each
- MOST IMPORTANT: THIS IS PRETTY MUCH THE MOST FUN AND ENTERTAINING WAY TO PARTICIPATE IN A GIFT EXCHANGE!
