The October 2019 GlobeInREVIVE” themed box included the following items:

1. Handmade Elephant Heating Pad, India ($25 value): OMG how cute!  I cannot recall ever getting a heating pad in a subscription box before and even if we have gotten one, surely it was not an elephant one right? The tag does not say what is inside, but I am guessing it is beans or rice of some sort?  This guy can be popped in the microwave for 1-2 minutes and then placed on body to soothe sore muscles.  My neck thanks you GlobeIn!

Measurements: 10″x 8.5″

Materials: Upcycled Cotton Sari

Care Instructions: Handwash only.

Directions: Place in microwave and heat for 1-2 minutes, or until the product warms. Place on the body to soothe aches and pains.

Country of Origin: India.

2. Palm Table Basket, Bangladesh ($20 value): This basket was hand braided by artisans in Bangladesh.  It wipes clean and can be for around the house storage or even on a picnic.

Measurements: 9″ x 8.5″ x 3″

Materials: Palm leaf

Care Instructions: Wipe Clean

Country of Origin: Bangladesh

3. Blue Pottery Oil Diffuser, India ($25 value):  This can be used to diffuse your favorite scented wax melt or a few drops of essential oil.  You play a tea light underneath and your home will be filled with your preferred scent in no time.

Measurements: 3″D x 4″H

Materials: Blue Pottery Ceramic

Care Instructions: Handwash only

Directions: Pour a few drops of your favorite scented wax or essential oil into the top well of the diffuser. Insert a tealight candle into the open cave of the diffuser, and light. The candle will warm the oil, slowly diffusing a pleasant scent into the air for your enjoyment!

Country of Origin: India

4. Assorted Hand-crocheted Headband,  Uganda/Peru ($25 value): The final item in the box is a hand-crocheted headband.  A variety of patterns and colors were sent out, but I love the the one included in my box.  I think the neatest part of this is that each headband is signed by the artist who created it (in either Uganda and Peru).

Measurements:  One Size Fits Most.

Materials: Crocheted Cotton

Care Instructions: Handwash only

Country of Origin: Uganda and Peru

~2018 Social Impact Report: Also included in the box was a Social Impact Report detailing investments GlobeIn has made and the changes in the lives of the artisans because of it. I was not expecting to receive this and found it incredibly interesting.  If you are curious, you can read the full report here.
