Grove Collaborative Review + Price Comparison vs. Target
Grove Collaborative is a flexible recurring shipment service that delivers only the best natural products each month. You can use their VIP service which is $19.99/year and includes receive free shipping on all orders, 4 free gifts per year, early access to new products, lower “Ship Now” order minimums, and more. Or you can purchase items as needed and pay a flat shipping rate of $4.99 per order.

I recently subscribed with their VIP service (I have a free 60-day trial) and thought I would do a mini review plus a quick comparison between Grove Collaborative prices and Target prices.

Grove Collaborative ships via UPS. I placed my order on 2.27.20 and it arrived on 3.3.20.

Everything arrived neatly packaged and in perfect condition. Grove Collaborative orders are fully customizable so you are free to order the products you already love or new ones you want to try. Grove will make suggestions, but you are free to build your order however you choose.  I opted for the following:

method – Dish Soap Lime + Sea Salt
Grove Price: $3.89/each
Target Price: $3.49/each

method – Foaming Hand Soap (10 oz.) Green Tea + Aloe
Grove Price: $3.89/each
Target Price: $2.99/each

method – All Purpose Cleaner Lime + Sea Salt
Grove Price: $3.99/each
Target Price: $3.29/each

Mrs. Meyer’s – Dish Soap Lemon Verbena
Grove Price: $3.89/each
Target Price: $3.89/each

Mrs. Meyer’s – Hand Soap Honeysuckle
Grove Price: $3.89/each
Target Price: $3.99/each

Mrs. Meyer’s – Hand Lotion Honeysuckle
Grove Price: $4.99/each
Target Price: $3.99/each

Free Gifts: My free gifts included a Grove Caddy ($14.95), Wanut Scrubber Sponge (Set of 2) ($4.95), Grove Hand Cream ($8.95) and Mrs. Meyer’s – Dish Soap ($3.89).  Free gifts are based on order values and are automatically added to your cart.

In total I paid $30.13 for all of the items I ordered from Grove Collaborative. While it wasn’t always less expensive than Target on a product-by-product basis, the free gifts made it 100% worth it. I believe my total order value was well over $70+.

My free gifts alone were worth well over the cost of the VIP membership and since I have a free 60-day trial, I am not even locked into that membership.  I can cancel it at any time before the 60 days are up and won’t be charged.    If you are on the fence, I highly recommend giving Grove a try.  If it’s not for you, no big deal – just cancel before your 60-days are up and enjoy your free gifts!
