Book of the Month is a monthly book subscription service. Each month their panel of Judges selects a limited number of exceptional books to offer to their members. They announce their New Selections on the first of the month, and members have six days to decide which book (or books) they would like to receive. They ship books to all of their members at the same time, so members can read and participate in their discussion forum as a group.

Books always come neatly packed and in perfect condition. The jackets contain a BOTM logo, and the back shows the month the book was selected. I also realized that the cover of the book has the month embossed on it. I selected the following Book of the Month book for May 2021:
~The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave: Once I started this book, I could not put it down. It drew me in quickly and I did not once consider putting it down. I absolutely do not want to ruin this for anyone who hasn’t read it yet, but the synopsis describes it as “heartbreaking”. I didn’t exactly find that to be the case. I found it to be more of a love story. A different kind of love story, but a love story nonetheless. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone. A perfect beach / pool read for sure!
