Wow! My October Goodies.co Kids Box arrived today and OMG I am amazed. I mentioned the Tech Crunch article about Goodies earlier in the week, but there’s been no official word from Goodies about closing down yet, so your guess is as good as mine. (ETA: See below) For right now I am going to enjoy the fabulousness of this October box!
Goodies Co. shipped this month using USPS. I never got a shipping notification and when I checked in my account online the other day, it showed that my box was scheduled to ship on 10/21. I’m guessing it was shipped much earlier than that and I have hopes that my regular Goodies.co Box is secretly on it’s way too.
The first look was awesome and confirmed to me that I was getting the same box as I’d seen in other people’s pictures and I was thrilled.
Goodies Co. Kids doesn’t have an information card (you can find product information in your account online), but they have a little note from their mascot – Wally Walrus and a project on the back. This one was instructions on making a potato stamp, which we will totally do.
Here is what we received in our October Goodies Kids Box:
~Sneaky Pete’s All Natural OAT Beverage – Mango: Goodies has sent some “interesting” drinks in the past, but this one is not only interesting, it’s delicious. L couldn’t wait to try it (I surprised him with the box when he got home from school today) and once it was chilled we both had some. Shockingly good. An oat drink. How would have thought?
~Orbit for Kids Strawberry Banana Sugar Free Gum: L carefully picked through this box and settled on gum as his after school snack. It’s a special treat around here and he was thrilled. This gum is sugar-free and L said it was great. And it comes with so many packs that he’ll going to be chewing gum for a while. He owes Goodies big time for this ;).
~Rockin’ola ChocoBerry: These are chocolate granola clusters with real freeze dried strawberry yogurt drops. I am saving them for L’s snack tomorrow at school. I’ve been giving him yogurt covered raisins and yogurt and this will be a nice surprise.
~Stone Ground Apple Cinnamon Fig Bar: Once B sees this, it’s all over. We all love these, but B loves them the most, so we’re going to let him have it. We usually get the raspberry ones, so this will be a good change.
~Lunchables Jr. Teddy Bear Picnic: Why have I never seen these at the store? They are adorable and I would totally get them for the boys! More for WB now since L doesn’t want to have a Teddy Bear picnic anymore. Next time I go shopping I’m going to keep an eye out for these.
~WarHeads Sour Twists: Yep, L loves these. I think most kids do don’t they? B even likes them. We are rationing these or it will would a complete sugar party over here with a totally crazy L.
~Happy Squeeze Fruit & Veggie Twist (Apple, Mango, Pear & Kale): As soon as L saw this he handed it off to WB. It’s a well known fact that WB LOVES pouches and is happy to suck one down any chance he gets. WB was super excited about this (he yells when he sees a pouch) and it disappeared quickly.
~Snack Factory Pretzel Crisps: I stole these from the box (with L’s approval of course). Pretzel crisps are the best. And dipped in hummus makes them even better. SO GOOD!
~WarHeads Sour Chewy Cubes: Another huge hit over here. I even had one and thought they were quite good. L snacked on some when he was doing his reading “homework” tonight. He thought he was pretty hot stuff eating this and working on the computer ;).
~GudFud Fruit Jelly Stuffed Marshmallows: We decided to wait and try these with B on a night when he’s home so we can each have one. They have chocolate stuff marshmallows too. Why have I never seen such things? Those would be awesome for mini s’mores!
Goodies Co. Kids Box of Goodies, just like the regular Goodies Co. Taster’s Box is only $7/month. If it’s true that they are closing, I am going to be quite sad because this box was bananas this month! L LOVED coming home from school to this box and thought it was an amazing treat.

ETA: Goodies sent out e-mails on 10.23.13 letting subscribers know that they are discontinuing the subscription service and that October would be the last month of Goodies.Co. They also mentioned that if you had enough points for a free box, they would be sending you a $10 WalMart eGift Card.
What box number did you get? I have #2 coming my way. I will be really bummed if goodies co. stops and I get a feeling this will be our last boxes 🙁

I’ve seen those Lunchable snacks over in the same aisle as the baby food in Walmart, so I don’t know if they are in the same spot at other stores as well!

Yep, I’ve seen them at Walmart too but not anywhere else! And I shop all the baby aisles 🙂 They are $1.99 per pack so I haven’t gotten any yet… We will see how well they go over in our box.
I need to pay more attention!! Although I don’t know I’ve ever been in the baby aisle in Walmart. I will now though.
I get the regular goodies box….wow I wish I got the kids box lots of things my kids would have loved to try

This box was much better than the regular one I received yesterday. 🙁 So disappointed that the kids box had more than the normal.

I haven’t got my box yet, but I hope it’s a good one, the kids box looks great too and I myself would have eaten everything! Lol
My regular Goodies one shipped today! If it’s half as good as this I’ll be happy!

I just got an email telling me that the October box will be their last 🙁 I wish I would have signed up for the kids box. I will miss Goodies, at least the way they were a few months ago.
They are going to make me miss them even more with this fabulous last box!

Sadly we got the “sorry, we are no longer a business” email tonight at 11:30. I get my box tomorrow and I’m bummed. I wish I had gotten this box though! Everything looks good.

The email from Goodies about their shut-down arrived tonight. October boxes are their last. If you have enough points in your account to earn a free box, they’ll be emailing you a $10 egiftcard from Walmart. If you have a multi-month subscription, they’ll be issuing refunds. They also sent a code to try out Love With Food for $5 for the first month.
Honestly, R asked me to cancel this month anyway so I’m not sad. I think we’ll take them up on the LWF offer, and see if that works better. I also have Graze coming for the first time soon as well so hopefully one of those will work out better. I’m also eyeing NatureBox as well so we’ll see.

I got my “Goodies is closing” email late last night. I’m so sad. This is one box I figured I’d just keep getting forever. I use it as my snack stash at work. Oh well, maybe someone else will come out with a similar one. I tried Love with Food but it didn’t really float my boat and out of the 3 boxes I received, 2 were missing at least one item. :-/
Hopefully you find a good replacement! This one would be a good office snack stash box!
Did you get the email from goodies?? I got mine bright and early this morning and am SO sad. I don’t know if it affects the kid box since I’m not signed up for it but the email said that october is the last and final goodies box! 🙁

I just received an email from Goodies saying that the October box will be the last box. I am so disappointed. I really like this box. It was affordable and they always sent such great items. Oh well 🙁

I received the same box yesterday, just a few flavors were different. My youngest nephew grabbed the snack pouch, as he was visiting, and loved it. We shared the marshmallow bites and they were quite good. I didn’t think they would be, but they were. It’s too bad if they go out of business, because I was thinking about ordering a subscription for all the kids for Christmas.
The e-mails went out late last night. It would have been a great one for a gift. Hopefully another Kid’s Snack Box like it comes out!
I got the email this morning. No more Goodies after October. I am so bummed! They did say they would send me a $10.00 Walmart Gift Card (probably because I had a bunch of points I hadn’t used) and a link to sign up for Love With Food for $5.00 (regardless of if you subscribe to LWF already or not, which is nice). I’m getting Kid’s Box #2 and I can’t wait because this box looks really good! I don’t know which regular box I’m getting, it’s supposed to ship tomorrow.

I had used most of my points to get free adult boxes this month and last month–I had 200-something points left but I guess since a free box was 300 or 400 I won’t get the gift card (those points just disappeared, sad). The Goodies store is still open so I just ordered a few things because almost everything is marked down and my son still loves pouches so I figured those Smooch smoothies would be good to have around.
Those Smooch pouches are expensive aren’t they? I should go look and see what they are on sale for!
Bummed about Goodies. I already subscribe to LWF, so I don’t see how their $5 offer can help me 🙁

I just tried this. It doesn’t apply to your current subscription, it just starts a second subscription. A little bummed about that.
I already have a LWF subscription too and don’t plan to go through the process to cancel and resubscribe either.
Ugh, I was actually thinking about canceling my box but it was such a good deal and the snacks I wouldn’t touch got eaten anyways, now that it’s going away I’m super sad and I wanted to do the goodies kids for my boys. Blah, this was my only foodie box. Time to find a new one…

So sad that they are closing down!!! It’s almost like this box was a “farewell” box to the kiddos – it’s such a good box. We still haven’t received shipping notice for our’s yet…makes me a little nervous.

Both my tasters and kids box should have been shipped by now, but they haven’t even been marked shipped on my account. I hope I get my boxes! The kids one looks really good!
My kids one just showed up. I got a tracking on my regular one yesterday though.
Bummed. This was the box I subscribed to not only for my husband (so he wouldn’t feel left out with me getting all those other boxes LOL) but I subscribed my Dad for Fathers Day. He loved getting a little box every month and the price was right. Sigh. I’ll have to find some other box that isn’t so dang expensive to send each of them.
