April 2014 GLOSSYBOX

Yay! My April 2014 GLOSSYBOX finally appeared! It JUST made it considering that today is the last day of the month.

GLOSSYBOX is $21/month and sends you five luxury surprise beauty items to your door every month. I am a huge GLOSSYBOX fan and am constantly impressed at the value they pack into the boxes. They always introduce me to such fabulous new goodies!

The Box

GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS and took three days to arrive this month. I think I got a tracking notification on it on Monday and it arrived today (Wednesday). Sometimes GLOSSYBOX ships mid-month and sometimes they ship nearer to the end of the month. I don’t worry about it though. I always know they will arrive.

The GLOSSYBOX

This month’s GLOSSYBOX is just a regular GLOSSYBOX box and as usual, I love the box itself! While I did bring myself to throw away all my old information cards, I could not bring myself to throw all my old GLOSSYBOX boxes away. They are just too good.

April 2014 GLOSSYBOX
First Look

I hadn’t seen any variations in this month’s box, so I basically knew what I was expecting.  The only thing I wasn’t sure about was the color of the polish, but the first look had me happy about it already!

April 2014 GLOSSYBOX
The Information Card

The April 2014 GLOSSYBOX did not have a theme, or a quote on the cover like most month’s do.  I don’t know if I have ever seen a GLOSSYBOX without a theme, but I am SO excited about next month’s box I do not mind a bit!  Here is what this month’s box included:

~Aqua Spa Relax Body Creme ($1.67): I really like the scent on this one.  It’s a lavender and chamomile blend and I couldn’t stop smelling my hands after I put it on.  I was actually shocked at how inexpensive this stuff is.  I would certainly pay $10 for a full size of this.  Not even a question!

~Bellapierre Cosmetics Supergloss in Vanilla Pink ($24.50): This color is just about perfect. It’s made with all natural ingredients and is infused with a natural plumper which helps with fine lines on and around the lips.

~Caldrea Body Wash (Coconut Fig Leaf) ($1.57): I LOVE Caldrea and I love this scent! We received a hand soap in this month’s PopSugar so I am getting spoiled with all these fabulous Caldrea products!  I really want the Stainless Sink Set now.  Maybe for Mother’s Day ;).

~Ciate London Paint Pot (Espardrilles) ($15): I know GLOSSYBOX sent out a bunch of different colors this month and I am SO happy with this one.  I was secretly hoping I didn’t get a yellow or a white because I already have a bunch of this.  This shimmery burnt copper works much better for me.

~Lasplash Cosmetics Eyeshadow Sealer / Base ($8.98): So this stuff is suppose to intensify color and provides extra protection against smears and smudges.  It makes it so that you don’t get any creases with your shadow, even with glitters or shimmers!  Totally cool.  I had no idea such a product even existed.

All totaled I came up with a value of $51.72 for the April 2014 GLOSSYBOX.  While it wasn’t my all time favorite GLOSSYBOX, it was totally worth the $21/month cost! It always is.

Did you get GLOSSYBOX this month?  What’d you think of the box?  What color polish did you get?  If you are interested in signing up or just want to learn more, click here.  You can still get the April box and TRUST me, you are going to want to get your hands on the May box, so don’t delay! They are doing a collaboration with Bergdorf Goodman in May and the box is going to include a $25 Bergdorf gift card (you can use it in store or online) plus those fabulous fancy brands Bergdorf’s sells!!!  Yes please!  And don’t forget to use the code ”SHINE” to get a free Too Faced Glamour Gloss with a subscription to GLOSSYBOX!!!

I am dying for my box to get here!! Did you get an email with tracking?

    1. Jennifer

      I got an e-mail Monday!

      1. Jill

Hmmm, I wonder if I should send them an email. By the way, just read your Lush product review, I would love to try their stuff, but just walking in the store gives me a headache. I am so sensitive to smell.

        1. Jennifer

You know what place gets me? The Body Shop!! I could smell that store from a mile away!

  2. Angie

Still waiting for mine to ship. Hope it gets here soon.

    1. Jennifer

      I hope it does too!

  3. Alexia561

Still waiting on my box. Can’t wait to try that nail polish!

    1. Jennifer

I hope you get a great color!

  4. Kiersten

I’m so jealous of the nail polish you got! I’ve always wanted to try this brand of nail polish (I refuse to spend more than $10 on a bottle of nail polish). But I got the yellow color that kind of makes me look like I’ve been smoking for forty years. Bleh. But the bottle is cute so it’ll probably turn into decor haha.

    1. Jennifer

The bows on the polishes are so cute!

  5. Annie

Ugh…mine still hasn’t shipped and I live where it takes mail FOREVER to arrive, but I’m glad to see what’s in it!

    1. Jennifer

I hope it has shipped and you just haven’t gotten a tracking yet! Sometimes that does happen.

  6. Sabrina Foust

Yeah, my glossybox hasnt shipped either. I am glad it isnt just me having issues.

    1. Jennifer

I hope you get it soon!

  7. Lisa

Mine came earlier this week and I have already tried and love the eyeshadow sealer!
I was a little bummed by my nail polish–the shade I received is called palm tree and is an interesting green. Oh, well–still a great box!

    1. Jennifer

I need to google that color. It sounds interesting!

I got the box a few days ago (I’m in California). No my favorite box but I will use everything but the white nail polish. Just not sure a woman my age really can pull that off LOL.

    1. Jennifer

Lol. Do it on your toes.

  9. Rachel Friend

Do you know if the code ‘bonus’ still gets you a beautyblender? I entered it in, and the code works. But Is it for the same item as ‘shine’ now?

    1. Jennifer

Hmm I’m not sure. Someone said they tried to use Bonus earlier and it wouldn’t take it? I’d shoot them am email because I just don’t know.

  10. Sara

I just received mine yesterday and loved the Ciate shade (a deep, shimmery red). I tried the shadow primer today and I’m really impressed. I applied it before my shadow and it really did make the color pop. Even though it was hot outside, the shadow didn’t budge all day. Can’t wait to see what we all get next month!

    1. Sara

I did want to add that I wish the Bella Pierre packaging felt a bit more ‘luxurious.’ I enjoyed the lipgloss, but I wouldn’t pay $24.50 for it simply because the packaging feels and looks cheap.

      1. Jennifer

I expected it to be fancier too!

    2. Jennifer

I am SO excited for next month. So excited. Sounds like you got a great Ciate shade!

  11. Jennifer Hodgen

I got the Caldrea scent tea olive lime; now i want to try coconut fig leaf too!

Jennifer, I love your website and I know you try to be positive and optimistic, but Glossybox is having some serious customer service issues that can’t be ignored. On the size of Stork Stack, and we all know how that turned out. Based on your reviews, I excitedly signed up for a 6-month Glossybox and – I’m not talking late delivery here – they charged me for April and pushed my subscription out to May this morning (claiming now that May is my first box instead of April), but my end date is still September, so they basically are shorting me a box (and money). Radio silence from the company/customer service. They did this to multiple customers so I have to assume (I hope) they will fix the end date issue, or they will have a class action lawsuit on their hands. It’s clear they didn’t have enough April boxes, not just a “warehouse” problem. Here’s hoping May is awesome and they fix the end date issues!

    1. Jennifer

I have been a subscriber for a while and recall a few months where the box came the following month, however, I haven’t ever heard of them pushing back the start date though! Idid you pay via paypal? You can always file a claim if you don’t want it anymore! When did you e-mail them? I would assume they would fix the end date as well. I know they are shipping out of a new warehouse this month so maybe caused the supply problems? Either way, they should have communicated it better! Let me know what ends up happening.
