From going on my various shopping trips and reading Facebook posts, it appears Christmas time is here. Really? Already? I’m just not ready to drag out all of my decorations and turn on the Christmas carols. Sorry, I’m not. And I have noticed an increase in searches for Christmas Apothecary Jars on my blog, so I know that if people aren’t decorating yet, they are totally thinking about it.
So I want to know, when do you start decorating? After Halloween? After Thanksgiving? Never? Do you think Christmas time is rushed and Thanksgiving is skipped over? Or do you embrace the spirit and start decorating asap? As for me, I decorate Thanksgiving weekend. No sooner. No later.
I don’t decorate til the day after Thanksgiving. However, I start listening to Christmas music November 1 and no one is going to stop me 🙂
I do my outside stuff the day after Thanksgiving usually. But I wait on the inside stuff. My daughters birthday is December 11th, I always try to keep her birthday and Christmas seperate, so we put up the tree and decorate after her birthday. Now this year, I have a crazy 15 month old (will be almost 17 months at Christmas), when I say crazy, I mean seriously into everything. I’m afraid to put the tree up, but Santa needs a place to put presents. I may be putting it up on Christmas Eve…
