Monday Morning Ramblings

~Well what do you know? Our trip to Chuck E. Cheese has resulted in a runny nose for L. It’s possible it’s just a coincidence, but I doubt it. L is all annoyed by it and has announced that he is NOT going there again. Ha! He’ll go back. As soon as the runny nose stops I am sure.  This picture has nothing to do with L’s runny nose or Chuck E Cheese, but I love how they are all SO into looking at themselves on the screen.

Facetiming with themselves ;).

~B ran the Auto Show Shuffle this weekend, came in second in his age group and got a medal!  This is race #1 of his goal of 30 in his 30th year (aka 30 in 30).  Awesome right?  And I cannot wait to share what he has on his schedule today (in addition to going to the actual Auto Show with L that is).  It’s going to be fun that’s for sure.  Fun for me.

Auto Show Shuffle

~I spent the weekend decorating for Valentine’s Day and staying up way too late watching The Hills and playing 2013 with my new planner.  I wasn’t expecting it to arrive until sometime this week, so I was totally thrilled when it came early!  I mentioned it before, but I went with the planner from Plum Paper Designs on Etsy.  It’s thinner (and cheaper) than the Erin Condren one and the cover is more flimsy (it’s a thicker frosted sheet over the chevron card stock cover), but other than that, I don’t see too many differences.

~We spent our Saturday afternoon at the local rec. center swimming and playing on their indoor play area.  The boys loved it!  Well, WB tolerated it.  L loved it.  I think WB thought it was a little chilly.  He did seem to enjoy splashing around and people watching.  And I certainly enjoyed snuggling him and watching the big boys play when he was done in the pool.

Just relaxing

~Instead of doing something productive last night like, oh, I don’t know, organizing the storage room in the basement, I looked through old pictures of L. I know everyone says it, but I feel like it was just yesterday that he was a baby!  And the pictures reminded me how totally different he and WB are at this age (WB’s age).  WB just seems so much more baby’ish.  I don’t know if that’s because we have a 4 year-old now too?  Or because he’s little?  Or because all WB wears is pjs?  I’m not sure.  And instead of going to bed, I stayed up even later and made this comparison collage (my mom loves these).  Do you see any similarities?

What’d you do this weekend?  Anything special?  Did you get anything checked off your To Do List?  Are you planning to watch the Presidential Inauguration today?  I will be!  I love that kind of stuff!

Spread the love

I’ve heard really great things about those planners. I got a May Book in Sept and still haven’t used it…

I do love the comparison pics. Thanks for doing another one. Except for their noses, I don’t see any similarity between them. That’s a great race picture of B.

Nothing checked off a To Do List, but I did go to a beautiful wedding. Of course, I’m watching the inauguration, gotta see what Michelle is going to be wearing.

I think that L and WB have their eyes and nose in common! Other than that, I think L looks a lot like B and WB looks a lot like you!!!

I like your mom a whole lot. She is so into everything you are doing. I told my mom about the subscription boxes – she tells me that we have plenty of clothes and that I should S.T.O.P throwing out more money. I tell her about Valentines and she says ‘yeah, fight through the year over soap, food and diaper turns and then celebrate one day like you guys are so lovely dovey’. The only thing that has her agreeing with me is anything to do with my kids.
