~This weekend was fun and relaxing and exciting and busy all rolled into one! In additional to March Madness (which we will get to in a minute), B ran the “Marche du Nain Rouge Detroit” on Sunday, which makes 5 races he’s completed (it was a 5K, his best ever in 21:18) towards his goal of 30. L had ice-skating and did AMAZING. OMG I was so impressed. We also went to an Easter Event at a local greenhouse.  L was so sweet to all the baby animals and was so careful with them.  WB was more interested in the straw he was sitting on than the bunny, however, when the baby duck came out he snapped to attention.  And then tried to EAT the duck as it came near him.  Maybe WB was confused since the duck is the same color as mac n cheese?

~B and I watched “This is 40” last night and OMG I loved it.  B and I were laughing out loud.  It was that good.  I’m not 40 (yet), but I can totally relate to that breakfast scene (and most of the movie for that matter) where the mom is running around like crazy and the dad is just calmly eating his breakfast like nothings happening.  That goes down here every weekend ;).  If you haven’t seen this yet.  See it.  Now.

~If you missed this weekends posts, I’ll catch you up on some highlights.  I posted reviews for SpicySubscriptions, True Beauty BoxDoteable and Gourmet Spotting (which also includes a giveaway).  Oh yeah, and in honor of my Michigan State Spartans heading to the Sweet 16, I decided to do a quick little giveaway!  Go here and get yourself entered for  3-months of Citrus Lane, 3-months of Pawalla and / or 3-months of PopSugar!  Yep, I am giving all of them away and am picking one winner for each!  It ends TONIGHT and I’ll announce winners tomorrow!

~The games this weekend?  OMG.  Amazing.  Spartan wins.  Gonzaga out – thanks to a team called “The Shockers”.  Umm, please tell me someone else is thinking what I am thinking about this name?  Stop it.  And Florida Gulf Coast in the Sweet 16?  First #15 to the Sweet 16 ever!!!!  Love it!!!  I want them in the Final 4!!  As for our tournament challenge, some of you are killing it! Please tell me your secrets. Amazing.  I cannot wait to see who’s going to win!

Current Standings – Top 5

~I’m not 100% sure what boxes I am waiting on this week, but I am pretty sure I will be getting The Little Book Club, FabFitFun, Wittlebee (maybe), Hungry Globetrotter (maybe),  Bug Out Box, Little Spark and Goodies.  Other than that, I don’t know.  I used to think I’d run out of boxes to review, but there are so many that I hope never too!  Oh and in addition to the drop down Subscription Box List (you can now view the entire list or just certain categories), I have done the same for the reviews!  I’ll be adding more there too, so stay tuned ;).

That’s all from here! What are you up to this week?

Spread the love

I am at work right now gearing up to get off at noon and head over to stand in line all day and night to register my son for Pre-K. What is up with that?? When I was that age I don’t think they even had Pre-K. If one of the other moms in my son’s daycare hadn’t asked me what time I was going to get in line I would’ve showed up at 8am the morning of. I moved 2 weeks ago specifically so that my children (my 3 year old has another year of daycare) could go to this school and if I don’t get him in I will be crushed, so I will be braving the cold and staying up all night.

Loved This is 40 and had an extensive conversation with my husband about The Shockers. What an awful awful name…I asked him if people made the hand gesture at the games. I mean how could college students NOT do that??

I’m a work. Slow day, so I *might* have brought a craft project to work on, “during my breaks” but really I’ll set it up where no one can see me, and have a sheet to throw over it quickly if someone comes in. HAHAHAH. That’s how I roll.

It’s spring break week here, and both big kids have lost all of their screen time until at least lunch today, if not tonight. Poor nanny/babysitter. She’s actually going to have to engage their sullen pre-teen/tween minds…

Haha we just watched that movie this weekend also…Loved it.

I am so not in the top 5 because I picked Gonzaga (stupids) Oh well it is fun watching it scratch the teams of my bracket.

That movie looks hilarious! I definitely need to add it to my Redbox list, along with Argo, Red Dawn and Zero Dark Thirty!
