June Pretty Box

Pretty Box is a new’ish subscription box company for women. Each month they work with independent artists to bring women all over the world beautiful, hand crafted products that make them feel amazing.  I haven’t heard much about Pretty Box, but had been eyeing this box as a potential one to try, so when they contacted me to see if I wanted to check out a box, I was over the moon!

The Box

Pretty Box (which I think used to be “In a Pretty Box”) ships via USPS and since I didn’t get a tracking notification, I’d say it came pretty quickly ;).  This was the June box though, so it appears they ship later in the month as opposed to at the beginning of the month.

First Look

From the first look I knew I was going to love this box. Everything was packaged so cute and I loved the confetti color.

The Information Card

Pretty Box doesn’t do a monthly theme, they just include handmade, handpicked items they know will be loved.  Here’s what our July Pretty Box included:

~Sage K and Co. Bracelets ($14): It should come as no surprise that I love these considering that I just bought a similar style bracelet last month.  I got the mint set, but other options were white, yellow, orange, turquoise, green or pink.  I would have been happy with any of the colors, but I do love the mint!  Also, Sage K and Co. has a bunch of other cute handmade pieces so totally check them out!

~Mint Nail Polish (I Do) ($12): Mint polishes are 5-free and are 100% made in the USA.  Even the boxes are made here.  I love the color I got (variations were sent out) and can’t wait to use it.  It’s not a sickly pink which you sometimes get with pink polish.  It’s got a bit of peach in it, which I love.

~Pretty Home Mini-Bowl ($8): At first I though this was supposed to be a candy dish (no seriously I did) and wondered what kind of elves they thought lived there.  However, I read the information card and it’s actually a mini-bowl to use to store your summer jewelry while you are at the pool or enjoying the summer sun!  Much much better than my idea ;).  I will totally use it for that.  I have a bad habit of taking off my rings around the house and then forgetting where I put them, so this is going to be perfect.

~Tickled Peach Studio Things To Do List ($14): I love this To Do list and while I *might* not spend $14 on a notepad for myself, I am thrilled someone else sent me one!  And Tickled Peach Studio has the most adorable custom lunchboxes.  Seriously, how cute are some of these?

~Noella Beauty Mineral Eye Shadow Sample Pack ($8): These were a bonus item this month and I think they are so fun.  They are a nice size and such fun colors!  You could totally get a ton of wear out of just these samples!!  Would I buy a lime green shadow?  No. Would I try it if it came in a box?  Yes!  Who knows, maybe it’s perfect for me!

All totaled I came up with a value of $56 for the June Pretty Box!  The box itself costs $42, plus shipping, so it works out to be about even.  I loved every single item in this box though and thought it all was a perfect fit for me!  Plus, I got to discover a few cool new shops, which I know I am going to get into some trouble at ;).

What do you think of Pretty Box?  Interested in subscribing or want to learn more?  Just click here!  Oh, and I should mention that Pretty Box is coming out with a Pretty Sample Box soon, which will be $15/month (including shipping) and will include the same types of artisan crafted products in miniature.

Disclosure: This box was received for review purposes. All opinion are my own and no compensation was received!

Oh my gosh! I love the jewelry and the jewelry dish!

$42 is really expensive for a box of stuff that you have no idea what is in it. And $15 for samples is insane, too. That’s the reason I don’y subscribe to these boxes out there. The cost needs to come down substantially to be worth it. But I enjoy your review. It makes me really want a box! But not for that price.

This box is super cute, I love the bracelets! Got the mugs today, love them, thank you so much for sending them! Send me your PP and the total amount it costs and I’ll send you the money right away. Thanks again Jennifer, my offer for anything you want from the UK/Scotland specifically still stands. X

  6. I’m in love with those lunch boxes!!! I am so ordering one after I find out what I’m having… which by the way if baby cooperates, I should know tomorrow!!!

I so totally just signed up for more info on the sample box. I can’t justify getting the full-size right now, but would be seriously all over the smaller one.

So, do you think I’m too old for one of those super-cute personalized lunch boxes?

    Cheers,
    Shauna
