~Thanks(*) to the furlough, our weekend continues into today. I can’t find a good word for this weekend other than random. We found a bird, had huge storms, B stayed out super late, we went swimming in the neighbors pool, B ran a half marathon, we all ate frozen yogurt and I even steam cleaned the tile floors. We were all over the place this weekend that’s for sure. Also, it turned freezing cold here on Saturday. WTF. We almost needed winter hats here yesterday. Way too chilly! We plan on visiting a local farm today and who knows what else? I am realized summer is ending faster than I would like and we gotta get some activities in!
~I spent some time getting the Monthly Subscription Box List updated with new boxes this weekend and now includes all the boxes I know about. I don’t always update it as soon as I hear about one, but as of right now, everything I know of is on the list (I think)! If I am missing any, please let me know. And don’t forget, if you don’t feel like scrolling down the entire list, you can always just browse by category from the drop down menu. I also spent some time working on the Links I Love tab and as you can see, I love me some drop-down menus. That one is still a work in process though ;).
~If you missed my Moxie Jean and thredUP payout posts, I’ll give you a quick recap here. I sent 12 items to thredUP, they accepted 10 and I got a payout of $25.03. From the time they received the bag to the time my payout was processed, it took about a month. It’ll be another 2 weeks or so before I actually get the money though. In comparison I sent 11 items to Moxie Jean (2 of which were pant / top outfits), they accepted them all and I got a payout of $22.99. And it took less than a week from the time they got my bag to the time they processed it. And I received a check a few days later. Which one is better? I have no idea. Moxie Jean is certainly much faster, but my payout was higher from thredUP.
~I included all the subscription boxes I should be getting this week in my newsletter, so I won’t tell you about all of them again here. However, I am planning on testing out a few new boxes in August (on my own) including Trunk Club (for B) and Datelivery (for B and I). Has anyone tried either one of those yet?
~L is going up-north this weekend (I think we all are actually) and is counting down the days. I need to figure out a way to get him excited about going to school in the fall. Any tips? New clothes, new school supplies, etc. don’t excite him at all.
~Has anyone been to IKEA lately? I am dying to go there and I feel like a trip is in my near future. I’m not sure what I need, but I need the new catalog (**) and I haven’t been there in far too long.
~It appears that Graze codes are quite hard to come by these days, so if anyone has one they would like to share, please leave a comment with it. I’d start it, but I think I passed out my original code like 100 times so the chances of me getting another aren’t so good. And if you are looking for one, please comment as well. We’ll start a little chain. The only thing is if you get one from the chain, you need to pass it along to someone waiting for it on here. No need to leave your e-mail address for everyone to see it, I’ll reply to your comment once I have a code for you. And if you have a code, I will e-mail it to the person waiting and won’t publish it when you leave a comment with it.
Alright, enough from here. How was your weekend? What’d you do? Tell me all about it!
Getting a graze code would be amazing!!! I’ve been searching EVERYWHERE. Even the sketchiest page 10 google search sites. Eeeeek
I’d like to try Graze and need a code. My email is rdoud78@gmail.com.
The Datelivery box is just what we need here. It has been far too long since we have been on a date!
So not sure how it happened but I got an Ikea catty in the mail. 🙂 Its sitting next to my chair waiting on me to devour it Wednesday when N is at school all day and C is napping. I’m going to need the shopping distraction.
I am interested in a Graze code. Also, if you make any headway on getting the kiddo excited for school, please share! I have a 6 year old who “I just want to stay home with Mommy all the time!” The new clothes and supplies didn’t do it for her either.
Datelivery sounds like a neat subscription box. I’ve never heard of them before but after checking out the website it totally looks like something that is fun and needed at my house. Date nights for me and the hubby are few and far between so a date night at home would be perfect. Can’t wait to see your review of this one!
As far as getting L excited about going to school…I read on a blog once where the blogger mentioned that her mother had gotten gifts 7 days before school started to get her excited and ready and it included school stuff like a lunch box, an outfit, etc. Maybe you could do something similar…maybe he would be more excited if his school stuff came “subscription box style”. 😉
Also, totally true about the Graze codes. Please put me on the list to get one.
Hey! i need a graze code too. my mom has been looking for one for ages and i want to surprise her 🙂
thanks!
I’ve been looking for a Graze code for MONTHS! Please send along if anyone has one, and I’ll be sure to pass my along on here after I sign up. LOVE your blog, read it everyday! Thanks 🙂
I’d love a graze code if anyone has one; been trying to find one forever! Thanks!
I went to IKEA last week! It was beautiful. I managed to get out of there with only three things. One of them being the reason I went there – a shoe cabinet. Of course, my husband and kids were with me. Thus escaping without a fully packed car.
Um – what is Graze?
I don’t know if there is really any way to get a kid excited for school unless they actually like school. Maybe create a school reward system. Like if you go to school this day with a good attitude you get a point kind of thing. Does L’s school have a day before classes to go look around and meet the teachers? I remember those days being kind if fun and if i had a nice teacher and cool room I was maybe a little excited for school. The only time I ever got really excited for school was on days when my dad volunteered to help with the outside bbq days. I don’t know if L’s school has things where parents can volunteer, but it at least could help him look forward to specific days. 🙂
I would LOVE a graze code if anyone has one. I would be forever grateful!! Email is truluv0112@aol.com
I would love to have a Graze code!
🙁 both graze codes are expired. I’m in search of one too!
I would love a Graze code. I have been looking for so long!
Would love a Graze code too! Both the ones posted are expired.
I’m giving Stitch Fix a try (on a whim!) and I think my fix should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. Even though you’ve brought all kinds of wonderful new things into my life via your blog, you’ve also turned me into someone who gets WAY too excited when I come home from work and there are packages on my doorstep – much less exciting when the porch is empty! 🙂
You could have a back-to-school get together and invite over a couple of school friends so they can play and do some activities before they get to see each other every day. Maybe they’ll be enthused about spending time together at school. (I’m going back to school in September – 2 years after graduating from college – and I’m pretty sure coming home to a bowl of popcorn and Pinterest are all I need to get excited right now.)
I do not need a Graze code. However I am looking for a monthly subscription box that has completely unhealthy snacks or foods.
A lot of the subscription boxes you get for the kids seem to have a learning or teaching bent. Have you mentioned that they are like school? Maybe have a day where you do some interesting things and call it “school” so that L puts the two things together and thinks that school might be a fun place too?
I had given up on finding a Graze code, but I would LOVE one! Put me on the list too, please 🙂 What a great idea to share them on here!
I went to Ikea last week, it’s only the second time I’ve been! I always wish it was closer but it’s probably a good thing it’s not! I wanted those flamingo glasses and they’d taken them off sale! Luckily my hawk eyes spotted some in the showroom in a kitchen cupboard so those went straight in the trolley!

Five Minute Style?
I have been looking for a Graze code my entire life (it seems lol) Please let me know if there is an extra out there, i’ll return the favor! 🙂
I’d like to get in on the Graze train. 🙂
We live 4 minutes away from an Ikea, so we pretty much treat it like Walmart. We’ve gotten so used to it being there that we forget how excited people get about it 😉
I can’t wait to hear what you think about Datelivery – it’s one I’ve been thinking about subscribing to for a while now, but never actually taken the plunge.
I’ve been waiting for a Graze code for awhile now. I’m not shy about begging for one at this point. Let me know if you find a good one, please 🙂
“I even steam cleaned the tile floors.”
WHAAAAAAAATTTTTT??? I thought this was my sister blog.
I have no idea what graze is.
The weekend consisted of doing research to stop this stupid Landfill that is coming to northern Macomb county.
Thanks for updating your subscription box list! Yours is the most complete list I have seen anywhere! Have you ever tried RocksBox? I used a code for a free month and my first box just came, I was a little worried that a) I don’t like flashy jewelry and wear only really simple styles and b) is it totally weird to wear jewelry for a few weeks and then send it back? Rocks Box promises that if anything breaks you are not held responsible… Anyway my box arrived and I actually am really impressed, not sure if I love anything to the point where I’m going to purchase but I am totally excited to wear the pieces a few times. I also thought the prices for the pieces if I did want to buy were totally reasonable and you get $25 credit for referring friends and $5 credit if you tag a picture of your items on twitter or instagram (you can see what I received on my instagram here: ) So I am $30 closer to a piece, many of which are only about $45 or $50…
Just wondering if you have ever tried Rocksbox or considered it!
Thanks for sharing — I love reading your blog every day 🙂
I would love a Graze code! 🙂
I would love to try Graze when a code becomes available!
I would love to have a Graze code. I have been waiting forever!
I love your blog!
Ugh! Graze codes…. do they even exist? I would love to be added to your code chain and promise to pay it forward!
Please add me to the Graze code list! I have been searching for weeks! I finally put out a general public plea & the most awesome new friend ever referred me here. Which is weird because I read this blog all the time & somehow totally missed this, but its an ingenious solution!!! I promise to give my code back to you the minute I get it, once I’m subbed. YAY! What a happy day this has turned into! Can you tell I REALLY want a Graze sub? Hehe Thank you sooooooo much!!!!
