I’ve been meaning to put together a list of JUST meal delivery subscription boxes, so here it is!

~Blue Apron: $9.99/meal.  Delivery areas include the following states: CA, CT, DC, DE, ID, IL, IN, KY, MA, ME, MD, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, TN, VA, VT, WA, WV and portions of these states: AL, AR, AZ, CO, GA, IA, NM, MI, MO, MS, NC, SC, UT, WI, WY.  You can opt for the Poultry, Meat, Fish option or the Vegetarian option.  You can pick 3 meals from 6 weekly options.

~ChefDay:  $17.50/meal.  Delivers to NYC and most of the Eastern half of the U.S.  (ChefDay is not currently delivering to customers.)

~FreshDish: From $160 (2 people).  FreshDish provides you with all the food for a meal (from 2-8 people), along with a personal chef who comes to your house to make the meal.

~Hello Fresh: $8.28 – $11.50/meal.  Delivery areas include Maine to Miami, and west over to Chicago.  You may select the Vegetarian or Classic box, however, only only the Classic option allows you to select your meals (you pick 3 meals from 5 weekly options). (Use code “aHelloTaste” to save $15 off your first box).

~Peach Dish: $10/meal.  Delivers anywhere in the U.S.  You’ll receive a pre-selected 3 course meal for two people for $20.

~PlateJoy: $79/min. order.  Delivery areas currently include Boston and San Francisco, with food being delivered by While Foods, PeaPod or Safeway.  PlateJoy will deliver ingredients needed for breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks (you pick the meals).

~Plated: $10 – $15/meal. Delivery areas include as far south as Washington, D.C and as far north As Boston. Delivery areas also include various areas Midwest including Chicago, all of Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan and major cities such as St Louis and Cleveland.  You can select your meals from Plated’s weekly options, but you must order at least 4 plates a week.  (Use code 7f183b to get 2 free plates).

~Tomato Sherpa: $8.50 – $10/meal. Delivers to the San Francisco only. Select from Vegetarian, Meat or Omnivore for a combination of dishes.

Thank you to Laura who left a comment alerting me to a few of these new ones (Tomato Sherpa being one).  Am I missing any?  Have you tried any of these?  So far I have tried (and loved) Blue Apron, Hello Fresh and Plated.  Peach Dish is next and hopefully all of them eventually!!

Spread the love

I don’t know where to post this, Gap has an additional 30% off clearance going on right now — lots of final sale items. Banana Republic has an additional 40% off sale/clearance items.

Hey! I would love to get in on the Graze Code chain!!! 😀

  3. Erika

Love your blog! I would love an invite code to graze subscription. Hoping you can help. Thanks! Erika

I would love an invite code to Graze!

I feel like I stalk your blog, for the record. You’re one of only three I read daily… and the only one I frequently comment on. Sorry to be a nuisance!

  5. I need to stop reading your blog when I’m hungry. :-). It’s like going to the grocery store on an empty stomach.

There is a new one starting in August called Pixie Bar – they send spices and non-perishables for one recipe for 4. The first one is Pad Thai. Looks sooooo good.

I was getting PeachDish for the month of August, along with Plated, too. I lOVE Plated, but PeachDish was kinda – meh. It’s a great price, and a great idea. But I didn’t like that they deliver on Thursdays, cuz I usually go out to dinner all weekend, and don’t cook… and I didn’t like that you didn’t pick your meals… but when I canceled they said that would change as they got more subscribers, later on.
I also had a problem with my meat arriving fresh. The lamb arrived once with lamb “juice” all over the box, and it was spoiled. The next week the chicken smelled bad. Hopefully they’ll fix these issues, as people like myself who were there for the startup told them the problems they were having. Also, it’s 3 courses, but the 3rd course (dessert) was not that fabulous….
Blue Apron and HelloFresh are two I want to try – what do you think of those? Which do you prefer?

We recently signed up for Blue Apron. I’m definitely looking forward to receiving our first box.

Our Blue Apron box arrived this morning and we’re very pleased with the quality of the products, packing, etc. We’ll definitely be ordering from them again.
