I’m linking up with Ashley and Neely today for another Sunday Social. Lately the tops have been repeats from last year at this time, but answers can change during the year so I am linking-up again!

1. When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up?
A lawyer mainly I think? Probably like a marine biologist or something along those lines too. I’m guessing at some point I wanted to be fashion designer too? Clearly I never became any of those things.

2. What was your favorite way to kill time as a kid?
It wasn’t killing time when I was a kid, it was just having fun!  I liked playing outside with my friends, playing house, playing school, barbies, you know, normal kid stuff!

3. When did you get your first cell phone?
Hmm, I *think* college sometime?  When I was in high school / early college it just wasn’t normal for everyone to have cell phones like it is now!  Remember, I’m in my mid-30’s!!!  But anyway, I had a Motorola StarTac, which was like a hot phone back then.

Loved it.
Loved it.

4. What is your favorite magazine to read?
US Weekly, People, Life & Style, Family Fun, MSL, etc.  Just light reading for sure.  And I really want to set aside some time, away from the computer for that a few times a week.  Oh, if I am at the doctor or something, I will read Time.  I’ve always loved Time.

5. What is the one random object people would be surprised to find in your purse?
Oh goodness, I have a one year old and a five year old.  And two dogs.  So keeping that in mind, I don’t think you’d find anything in there too shocking!  I’ve got bug spray, glo-sticks, minnie mouse, a little people batman, lots of random stuff!

Spread the love

I am 28 and it wasn’t the norm yet for people to have cell phones when I was in high school. I didn’t get my first until 17. My parents got them a few years prior, but I never needed my own!

Wow you had a high tech phone! My first phone was a bag phone. A phone in a bag.with a cord!! And I thought I was hot stuff.

  3. Mrs. L

I wanted to be a cop or a writer when I was a kid.
My favorite way to spend time was reading a book.
Ahem, I’m a bit, er, older and cell phones, well, it was way after high school. And college. And my first job. Or two. Or three.
Favorite magazines to read are People and Bon Appetite.
I had to look in my purse to see if there was anything interesting or different. Nothing stands out.
