The Genius Bar: Yesterday, after taking a nasty fall on the tile, my iPhone “home” button wouldn’t work. TOTALLY my fault. There were no appointments yesterday morning according to the internet, but I went in anyway while we were at the mall. Not only did they get me an appointment, they fixed my home button in two seconds and then insisted I go talk to the real Genius Bar people “to make it worth my while for coming in and to ensure that the issue doesn’t happen again”. The Genius I was working with found a way to fix my home button, which also included replacing my screen (which I had cracked ages ago) for FREE. Yes, free. #iloveapple

A Thomas Sighting! Sometimes fun appears when you least expect it. The boys and I were out running errands the other day and came across Thomas! L was thrilled and I think it made running a million errands worth it. Oh and yes, L picked that outfit himself and I don’t know where WB’s shoes are.

Discovery Kids Balloon Pumper: I’ve been eyeing this at CVS all summer, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend $10 on something to fill up balloons. But when I saw it over the weekend for 75% off, I was all over it. And you know what? It really works! Really. It’s not super fast, but you can make water balloons a million times easier with this!

Mouse Trap Costume: I came across this on Pinterest and it has to be one of the cutest DIY costumes I have seen. We do a lot of Halloween events and I think this would be perfect for the outdoor / nighttime ones. I need to discuss with B how hard this would be to make, but I think it’s more than doable. LOVE.

I totally jumped on the Sephora deal yesterday. It did make me remember that I haven’t gotten any groupons in awhile. I really need to pay more attention to those.

I went to the Genius Bar too yesterday. My husband’s phone wouldn’t charge and though I didn’t have an appointment they had someone look at it real quick. Apparently the charger part had tons of lint (eww I know). They cleaned it out and checked the battery for me. Love them!
Oh I’ve made excellent use of the Genius Bar (I think I’m on my 10th replacement device since I got my first iPhone in 2010) and they’re pretty awesome, though less so in recent years. They used to be super lax about what they’d fix, before the changes to AppleCare. Still, what other phone makes it so easy to get everything fixed often for free?
